I bought a very expensive spotlight from them. Sice I bought it I had to send it back for repairs twice, it takes months to get them back. Im still waiting for it to be returned to Trappers Vaal Mall. Their service is pathetic and the persons that answer their phones are very rude. The Zartek operator also informed the Trappers representative that Trappers will need to arrange and pay the courier as I am Trappers client and not Zarteks client.

A few months back I bought a ZA-467-R ZARTEK Spotlight, 2200 lumens..... it was my 2nd ZARTEK.... the other one I got 5 years ago and it is still working well. This latest one has had 4 or 5 charges and the grip fell off and it no longer switches off. I no longer have the slip and I cannot go to the shop to replace it. Where is the Quality Control. ZARTEK has wasted my time and Money. I thought I liked this local product but this 2200 lumen thing is a big disappointment. I thought this is proudly South African, but it is like Trump said. Now what must I do ? I hope this company contacts me and sorts this out without me having to waste more time and effort... I don't want a repair or a replacement, I want my money back and I will get another brand... This spotlight is a poor design compared to the smaller torch. ZA-465 is a brilliant design, not this brittle plastic, it is robust. You guys failed with the 2200 Lumen rechargeable red-lens thing.

I purchased 4 x 2-way radios. On opening the first pair, one unit was programmed in Chinese. (I think) I called the company who informed me that I should just take it back to where I bought it from, they will exchange it. He added that this should not have happened. My issue is that this is a 72.4 km round trip for me. I'm going to go back and ask for a full refund!

I bought a Zartek Com 8 Combo two way radio at Outdoorwarehouse two months ago. After about 10 charges the one radio would not hold its charge. I took it back to the dealer to send back to the factory to investigate and repair. I have lost faith in this model and wanted to be credited so I could buy a more robust model, but Zartek will not allow the dealer to do this. So now I sit without a radio I need for security and R950 for about 3 weeks.

I was then told that when the radios came back, Zartek wants R60 for postage!!!

So in the end I will have paid R1060 for a two way radio that was faulty and I will have to do without it for 3 weeks, during which I will need it when alone on a farm.

Surely all this is contrary to the Consumer Protection Act?

Lesson is - never buy ny Zartek product

ZARTEK advertises and prints on their packaging that their 2 way radios (Zartek Com8) can send and receive signal up to 1 km indoors and up to 5 km outdoors. And up to 20 km line-of-sight.

These radios cannot even work beyond 500 meters outdoors on a flat straight open road !! This was also confirmed by other Zartek users.

Their misleading information needs serious clarification.
