Cold and money hungry
WARNING! I am shocked at how we have been treated. I needed to be admitted to the hospital. We let them know within 24 hours, and they refused to cancel. They wouldn't let us move the date and kept 100% / the full spa day fee paid. They would not even give a partial refund. What makes matters worse is that they could not even tell us that you CAN'T have a massage directly after anesthesia, which also indicates how qualified they are in the first place. CPA protects consumers against unfair cancellation policies, but they do seem to believe that they are above this. If you read other reviews, it starts becoming clear how money-hungry they really are, charging premium prices and using cheap lotions, etc. PLEASE REMEMBER YOU ARE WORKING WITH PEOPLE often these people are having a hard time. You are in a fortunate position to help people. Try and remember that next time you are dealing with a customer and get some fair cancelation policies!

Incompetent management and poor customer service
I have visited Zau spa a number of years ago and was very impressed. When I visited Gauteng early January me and friend decided to book a package. Unfortunately due to her work we had to move the appointment 1 day earlier. Via mail they confirmed it (although they said the next time we change a booking there will be a fee charged) The day before they contacted me to confirm the booking. An hour late they phoned again to say that that package is not available for the Tuesday, I must pay in for the appointment. I was not prepared to do that seeing the it already cost me R850 per person. I phoned and ask for my money back as I was not able to reschedule as I was returning to Cape Town the weekend. Telephonically they confirm that this was in order and said I must email them my banking details. Two weeks later I followed up as I heard nothing from them. Now they tell me they are not going to refund me. When I asked them to speak to the owner - they said the owner doesn't give her number out. I then asked if the owner can phone me. No reply. I am extremely disappointed in the service and communication of Zau spa. Never to recommend to anyone.

One foot scrubber for all
Watch out, they use the same foot scrubber and facial spunges for everyone. So don't be surprised if you get athletes foot/fungus or breakout with acne afterwards. Make sure you sign your slips everytime you get something to drink. They overcharged us and are completely ignoring us in connection with the refund. Such a beautiful place and we had lovely the******s, but their clients are just important till you pay. Watch out for yourself!

Zau Spa - well done ?
Thank you for the best experience. Your staff are super friendly and very accommodating. The venue is absolutely breath taking. Awesome Food and your prices at the cash bar and the treatments were great value for money. I will definitely recommend Zau Spa to all my family and friends. You will positively see me again soon. Keep up the good work. Please commend the staff for making me feel so comfortable and making sure all my needs were met.
