I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a highly unprofessional and distressing interaction I had with one of your reception staff members when calling to confirm details of my upcoming stay. On 17 January 2026 at approximately 11:19, I called your establishment from 084 985 3265 to the number 067 131 7764. The purpose of my call was simple: to confirm general apartment facilities, specifically whether units are equipped with an iron and a stove, so that I could prepare appropriately for my 12-day stay. My accommodation was booked by my employer, and while I was copied on the confirmation email, the information provided was unclear. As a paying guest, I felt it was reasonable to call ahead to ensure everything was in order and to avoid any inconvenience upon arrival. Unfortunately, the male staff member who answered the call was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful throughout the interaction. He repeatedly deflected my questions, stating that there are “many agents” and that he could not assist me unless I provided a reservation number. I explained that my query was general, but also clearly stated that I was willing to provide the confirmation number if needed. He refused to accept it and insisted I send it via WhatsApp instead. When I asked if he could email me to confirm my reservation details, he again deflected and simply told me to come to reception with the booking information. At no point did he show empathy, interest, or a willingness to understand my situation. The call ended abruptly when he cut the call on me. This interaction left me genuinely concerned about the level of service I can expect during my stay. As a guest who is paying (via my employer) to stay at your establishment, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy, professionalism, and respect. I strongly request that: This call be reviewed Management addresses this matter with the staff member involved Someone from management contacts me directly to discuss this further I am anxious about the days ahead and how my interactions with staff may unfold. I will continue to document my experience, as service quality plays a critical role in a guest’s overall stay. Paying guests should be treated with pride and professionalism. Without guests, there would be no business and no jobs. The behaviour displayed during this call fell far below acceptable standards. I look forward to your urgent feedback.

Do not book with these people they are ****s! I forgot my shoes in unit 808, when I called to find enquire about my shoes, they told me my shoes are not there and they only keep stuff for 12 hours, so I asked what they do with the stuff after 12 hours and I couldn’t get a response decided to let it go. The sheets are dirty, strong pungent smell and this place has ****roaches. Tedious check in process as well, plus you must have R300 cash in order for them to allocate you a parking space. Absolute garbage of a place. Saw it on a TikTok influencer however I’m never again going back and I would not recommend anyone else to stay here especially if you’re forgetful and forget your items, you will not get them back

Stayed there 23 May. Our access card for parking did not work. Was woken up by a ****roach in the bed. ****roaches were al***** even in the shower door. When I asked for an additional glass as there was only 1 glass I was told they don't have glasses in the rooms as it was a dangerous weapon. He brought me an old plastic glass. Yet when I went thought cupboards I found 2 champagne glasses. The fan was so filthy it was sticky. If only help up for a a few minutes then it dropped towards the floor. The coffee table was falling apart as it was rusting away. We could not connect to the TV as remote batteries were corroded. The bed pillows were worn through. Only 1 pillow each. The microwave still had food splatters and we could not eat our breakfast. Just to mention this was Room 607. I would not recommend this venue or stay over. Where you have to enter is a Doggy street and the access cards do not work. If it was not for the one of the other tenants we would still be standing there. It was a very huge disappointment and money wasted.

I wouldn't recommend this place 1 on Albert road CT Check in was at 3pm By 3pm they were still cleaning the rooms, then they were waiting for the linen we eventually went into the room at around 16h45 even then the lady was still mopping, and spraying the room, fine we get in, the actual room wasn't bad shower kettle stove and fridge and there was crockery and cutlery theres Enough wardrobe space and an ironing board but no iron oh and TV. They do have USB carding ports But the bedding is very low quality including the pillows which were only two and uncomfortable. The bed squicked a looooot Theres single x2 couches and stool which were so dirty (couldn't even seat) also a brown throw which smelled bad The foyer is stuffy (carpets) when you open into the balcony there's such a terrible maruana smell it was not cleaned it doesn't look like they clean it theres roaches. We foundout they enter our rooms in our absence to "clean" but all they did was take out trash and put in a new plastic bag we raised it up with them to say you can't enter ones space without consent their response was some guests complain that their rooms aren't cleaned to which we said they said must first find out prior if the guest is OK with them coming in when they aren't there also they didn't clean. The reception is clean and the area it's located is quiet not far from town. I give them 1 * The security guards were very friendly and professionall My suggestion is they must in lnvesr in quality otherwise the place has a lot of potential

DO NOT BOOK - I REPEAT, DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU WANT TO SLEEP AT A POLICE STATION. We booked 14 rooms via booking dot com last year in January preparing for a family gateway in December. On the day of arrival for check-in (was on the 28th December 2024) and we arrived late after 20:00PM, we were only given keys to 4 rooms and we were told that they do not have all the rooms we require, mind you it is late and the payments and everything was made, we are a big family and we expected the 14 rooms but here we were being offered 4 rooms. We had to call the cops to because we were being chased out of the apartment just because we were expressing our frustrations. Further to this, the cops also revealed that it was not their first or second time being called at this hotel for the exact same reason. Funny enough, a month before heading to Cape Town from Joburg, my partner and I checked their reviews and we saw that is was bad but it was too late for us to cancel so we hoped that we will not get to experience all the bad things reviewed about the place - to our suprise it was even worse than what we read about it on reviews. Book the place at your own risk - City Club apartments at 1 on Albert buidling in Cape Town, play far from those apartments and the Manager together with the receptionist were so rude and could not care what happens to us, they just wanted us out…we from Joburg and it was late, we knew no one from Cape Town but they did not care about all that.

1. In an attempt to call and find out about reception and parking procedure prior to checking in, no calls were answered 2. At reception which is basically a desk with a security guard, he could not pick up my prepaid booking 3. The security guard then required my pin and more documentation stating that they work on a different system The security guard was very difficult to understand due to his lack of speaking, understanding or grasping English 4. Judging by the fellow bystanders in the foyer and the area where the units are situated, I decided to first request to see the unit, which was denied. 5. I then cancelled the booking on the spot and found an alternative 6. I received a calL the following day from a gentleman requesting me not to give a bad rating as that affected his commission. He told me to call the same number I had called numerous times previously without any answer to request a refund. After numerous attempts, I was successful and was told that Booking.com must arrange that. Booking.com state that the accommodation venue must do that - hence no reaction from either at this point more than a month later.
