worst experience with a moving company...

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this moving company.

The original quote explicitly stated that GIT insurance was included and that all furniture would be blanket wrapped. Neither was honoured. On delivery, there were no blankets or protective wrapping at all, and some of our furniture was transported on an open trailer with no protection whatsoever.

Although we were told delivery would take 3 days, our furniture arrived about a month later, on 24 December at around 11pm, after repeated promises throughout the day that they were “almost there”.

The condition of the furniture on arrival was unacceptable:

Deep scratches on almost all wooden items

Coffee rings and stains on surfaces that were not there before

A dining room table broken at the hinges and no longer functional

When we raised this formally, the company responded with excuses and denied responsibility, even suggesting that the blankets “must have fallen off during transit”, which is not credible.

This was unprofessional, negligent, and far below what was advertised. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others before using this company.
