Called AAA Home services for a geyser which was causing the electricity to trip. Firstly, the plumber that came out did not have the common sense to use the trap door but removed roof tiles to get access to the geyser. They then quoted R2800 (excl Vat) for a thermostat and element. I called another plumber out who charged R670 for a loose wire.

We were charged an outrageous price for very little work. They would not start on the work unless we paid the whole amount. This was for our tenant and we were away on holiday and just paid. But when our tenant told us the work that was done we could not believe what we had been charged. I asked again and again for a detailed line-by-line invoice so I could see what our money had been spent on. This invoice was never forthcoming. Then someone at AAA decided our house was non-compliant and wanted to return! Needless to say, we told them to stay off our property. This lot are also known as "Anchor Plumbing and Electrical". Approach with caution.

Avoid using these guys.! All they do is source out the work to other incompetent contractors. They probably then take a cut of the money. We had someone sent by them come out to do some work. Payment was made to Anchor Plumbing for which I see there are numerous complaints.

AAA was called to my property after lightning strict an outside wire and 4 lights went off (see report - no power to half the house) on Monday 6 Feb 2017 (What business use a gmail as email? 1st red light )

What a disaster. Ambrose (the technician) was send to my property, after a total of 3 min in my house he looked at the two DV boards and one of the 4 lights that was off, he decided that the house needs re wiring. My husband was contacted by Sandy (service/call centre rep) She said he needed to pay R15 000.00 immediately as the house will burn down and re wiring needed to be done on the same day. On top of that he had to pay R1400.00 “call out fee” for the total of 5 min “evaluation” that was just done to determine the problem. Sandy kept pushing for the R15000, or at least R7000.00 deposit. Ambrose was not to leave the property before we paid the R1400.00 (without an invoice) my husband asked for a quotation to be emailed to us, seeing that this was a very serious situation. Sandy promised it will be done within an hour. Needless to say nothing happened from that point on.

So after calling for 2 week speaking to Sandy, Vanessa (Sandy’s boss) Amanda (customer Services) still nothing. So this morning 21 Feb 2017 I started looking for the CEO of the company apparently his name is Oscar Dennis, (Not sure if it is correct info) (Big secret) I also contacted Cart Blanch, as my husband is in the television industry and knows the producers well it was no problem. I called Vanessa explained what I needed, informed her the call was being recorded and that I did contact Cart Blanch. I asked for the CEO she refused to give me his number but will put me through to his PA Roselyn. She did not do that instead she put me through to Amanda again. Same circle. I got hold of the CEO on his cell phone. He called himself “Henry”, ( I asked his position in the company? He did not give it to me) sympathise with my situation gave me a lady by the name of Rose contact number (sure it is the same Roselyn) and that was it. I called the number Clyde (switch board) answered I was informed everyone is busy, he will take a message for her. I asked her position in the company, “he was not allowed to give it out” (Big secret or are they afraid of law suits?) I asked if the CEO is Oscar Dennis again, “he was not allowed to give it out” (again Big secret) and put the phone down in my ear. (all recorded)

When Rose eventually did contact me she was very irritated, explain that they are very busy…. you know when someone goes humm, humm…. on a rate of 1 – 10 Their customer service is 0. Rose said she will get the invoice for the R1400.00 call out fee to me, she will forward a refund form (as a good will gesture) and get the report to me. She will get some form I signed from Ambrose the Technician when he is in later today. (I recorded this call as well)

After I had to call again the “Damaged report” was send to me, no refund form, as now she needs to get the document from Ambrose (Not sure what happened to Good will gesture) and will then decide if a refund on 3min work will be done. Our telephone account over the past 2 weeks will be more than the R1400.00.

Now please decide for yourself if you like to work with a “company” that refuse to give invoices and quote exorbitant prices.

Charge ridicules rates on call out fees, sounds as if they are too busy to assist you “their client or potential client” refuse or are ashamed to give top management names. Bluntly refuse to assist or put calls through.

AAA was called to my property after lightning strict an outside wire and some of the lights went off on Monday 6 Feb 2017
