I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with how my loss of income claim has been handled. Last year, on my last day at work, I submitted all the required documents to apply for the Loss of Income claim. I made sure everything was provided on time because I wanted to avoid exactly the situation I am now facing. However, more than three months later, the claim is still not resolved. Because the claim has not been finalized, my phone has now been blocked by FoneYam, leaving me completely stranded. This has had a serious impact on my daily life and my ability to function. I am currently unemployed and actively searching for work, and my phone is one of the most critical tools I rely on. I use it for: Job applications Interview calls Communication with potential employers Basic transactions and online services Today my phone was blocked, and I am now unable to communicate, attend interviews, or transact. This is extremely distressing considering that the whole purpose of taking the Loss of Income cover was to protect me during unemployment. I have contacted FoneYam, and they advised that they cannot assist until the insurance claim status is updated or approved. I have also been sending emails requesting assistance, but it feels like my situation and the inconvenience I am experiencing are not being taken seriously. It is very frustrating to pay insurance premiums for protection and then be left without support when you actually need it most. All I am asking for is urgent assistance in finalizing or reviewing my claim, or at the very least clear communication on the progress so this matter can be resolved. At the moment, the delay is causing serious inconvenience and affecting my ability to secure employment. I sincerely hope this issue can be addressed as a matter of urgency.

Policy Cancellation HPEP959706: Hi I've been trying to cancel the policy since last week. The service is very bad, imagine when it is the time to claim it will take the whole year to respond Kindly cancel the policy and send me confirmation, I don't have time to play. So I did a claim for lost of income with abucus insurance 3 weeks ago send all my outstanding documents to angle only to be told it was sent for assessment I call every day for the last 2weeks and get the phone put down while I'm speaking I also have requested to speak to the manager only to not happened I was promised on Friday the 23 January that it will sort out of ly to be told again it's only been sent away again for assessment

I bought a 65 cm tv at Bradlows in Chatsworth branch and my house was broken into and fortunately by the time we arrived from church the intruder was leaving carrying our tv and suddenly upon seeing us he dropped the tv and ran away,and our tv was damaged.We went to our Chatsworth SAPS and opened a case and also went to Bradlows to submit the case number and asked for the insurance claim for our tv and were told to wait for the insurance (ABACUS INSURANCE)to respond.We got a call from the ao called insurance asking us to first pay the arrears from the shop and we did that and waited till we decided to visit Bradlows and asked what's going on and they said the Abacus insurance people will send someone to assess the damage on tv and we have to also pay for that.Mind you this happened around 10 or Soo in January.We been going to Bradlows about this but apparently this so called Abacus insurance is not helping at all.I then called them(ABACUS) on the 10/2/2026 and told them I'm tired of this run around they are doing of which if by the end of the day they don't act I'll report to Helo Peter.The lady who assisted me laughed and till now there is no response from Abacus Insurance Linited

I took a capfin loan on February 2025 and I was paying so well then Capfin decided to top me up with another loan in May 2025.I continue paying but now I'm struggling to pay because I'm no longer working. I called capfin and I was told to email my documents to Abacus. I did so as I was told, Didn't receive any feedback until I called Abacus then I spoke to Duduzile and she told me that they didn't receive my documents. She told me to email them to her email address and I did just that. After few days I receive a call from Zanele, she told me my UI19 form was outstanding. I sent the document to her. The following day I receive a call from her telling me that they called my previous employer asking her to verify if I was working for that company. And my previous employer told her that she can't give out my details because the POPIA ACT doesn't allow her to do that. I was instructed to call my boss. I email my boss I didn't receive any response. I called her I couldn't find her. I left a voicemail still no response. I later emailed Zanele and informed her about what was happening, I gave her another number that she can call for verification. She's been quite. I tried emailing her again today no response. I feel that Abacus is unfair cause all the documents they need i have provided. Its not my fault that my previous employer didn't give them the information they needed. Now I'm here worried about my credit score and how I'll be handed to lawyers. Abacus please come to my rescue please I'm not coping. Bad credit record will affect me for the rest of my life

A funeral claim has been submitted 72hrs ago but no claim number has been issued, yet the claim is allegedly “with management.” Said Slindile Tshabalala when I called the customer service! This fails TCF principles and the duty to process funeral claims promptly and without unreasonable delay. How is this with management when no claim number has even been provided to me ??????? The funeral is this weekend. I require immediate claim registration and payout.
