14 Dec 2021, 07:28nately I was able to show them some communication between me and Absolute Drip on WhatsApp. The record of my transaction on their website also showed that they had payment, but hadn't fulfilled the order.
Don't be discouraged if the bank tells you the issue will take 30 days for them to get to the bottom of. And it will cost you R80, but R80 from our R1,440 order seems quite reasonable.
Lastly I've noticed that the Jordan 1s we tried to get for our boy, are now collectors' items among sneakerheads. I went to a site I trust, wantitall.co.za, and found that the cheapest Jordan 1 is listed above R7,000. Wantitall sometimes source goods overseas, so that R7,000 might not even include custom and excise duties.
Basically, knowing that Jordan 1s are in demand with fashion-conscious kids, whose parents can't or won't pay R7,000 per pair, Absolute Drip positioned themselves as a source of affordable fashionware. There are no reputable sites on the net offering Jordan 1s for R1,500. I searched.
In summary, don't allow yourself to be enticed by Absolute Drip's prices. Don't be fooled by the name either. They chose it on purpose as it would remind most people of Drip shoes, which is a reputable online and offline local business.
But if you've somehow got to the point where you handed over good money for bad service, take the issue to the bank. If there are enough people complaining about businesses like Absolute Drip, then criminals like them will know that the long arm of the law reaches even to the internet.
