What a bunch of ****** - Please whatever you buy, double check the pricing and make sure that they haven't put a hefty surcharge on the items. They overcharged me by more than R5000. And on top of this they just shrug their shoulders. Extremely unhappy!!!

Believing that ACDC Express was the best place to go for an inverter I was really looking forward to going there and getting what I needed. They had very little stock but I settled on the Genki which seemed to fit the bill. So I paid and left feeling very happy. Obviously the staff at ACDC do not know their appliances, because although the device worked fine, it turned out to be incredibly noisy and totally unsuitable for use in my practice where I see patients. So I returned it the next day and this is where the nightmare started. Firstly the salesman told me it would need to be sent away to be tested (because I had owned it for a day). Then he changed his tune and suggested I take another one, because that one might have been faulty. So I returned home with another identical model, only to find out that it was equally as noisy. If the staff tested their stock they would know such things! Next day I returned it and because they had no alternative, I asked for a refund. What a deeply unpleasant experience! I feel from start to finish I was treated like a crook. I was asked to provide a bank statement to prove that the money came from my account. I had paid by credit card. If they doubted me they could have asked for my ID in the first place. I was told that it would take a few days because head office would make the payment. Two weeks later there was no sign of my money, so I wrote to their head office. Then the salesman phoned me and asked again that I provide proof of the transaction. Obviously they lost the other one. Next day I am informed I must provide a stamped letter from the bank confirming I am a client, along with a bank statement. By now I was furious. Next day they insisted I provide three month's bank statements! How dare they! Although I complied, I still at the time of writing this do not have my money. It is 17 days since they gave me a refund note. They have succeeded in totally alienating me as a client and as a respectable and respected person. I am disgusted.
