We have been investors at ACI for 8 years and kept to our agreement with them for 7 years. Due to unforeseen medical circumstances last year we struggled to keep to our regular monthly payments. We then made monthly arrangements with them which was accepted by them. Thankfully we managed to recover from this set back and we could then pay our fees fully which was a great relief. We were then also very excited that we could now book our well deserved holiday following this difficult and trying time. What a surprise that when we phoned to book this holiday we were informed that due to the payments that we missed we have lost our points for 2015! We explained that we had arrangements, which was accepted by them and that out accounts are now fully paid (in advance as we have time untill September 2016 to pay the fees). We also explained that at no time during the discussions (which were frequent) were we informed that we stand the risk of losing our points. All they were interested in is getting the money, which we agree, is within their right, but what about our rights to be informed of possible consequences of losing our points. When we challenged them on why they did not inform us of this all they say is sorry, read your contract? Really now, how many people know off hand all the details contained in a contract that was signed 8 years ago! Surely ACI has an obligation to communicate such information to their customers in order to at least give the client an oppurtunity to rectify or at the very least be aware. ACI has no interest in their customers/investors and their staff and managers are cold and not willing to even consider the customer/investors point of view as long as they have your money - but the holiday that we were so looking forward to can now not happen (in the 8 years of this investment we were allocated 800 points of which we only used 140 points - we are workaholics so paid ACI monthly but never had the time to take that holiday - now we are semi retired and have the time to enjoy our investment. ACI decided it is ok for them not to communicate to us and there lack of interest in the well being of their customers resulted in our dream holiday being only a dream. They are pathetic and I would urge all their current customers and investors to be aware when dealing with them - you are sure to be dissapointed down the line somehow.....
