AdoringDress.co.za - be aware of ALL the costs

<p>AdoringDress is NOT a South African website. If you order from them you will be faced with VAT, duty and import agent's admin fee. Be warned.</p> <p>Not only that.... And a R1500 penalty from SA Customs for under reporting the value.</p> <p>My invoice from AdoringDress was for R2125. The customs declaration form was based on the Chinese supplier's invoice of $70 + $50 postage (R1649). So customs requested my invoice that shows R2125, and applied a R1500 penalty for under declaration. To have the dress delivered another R3400 is payable in VAT, duty, admin and penalty! My only option is to abandon it. It may be a dish cloth for all I know.</p> <p>There is no use trying to contact Adoring Dress. They provided a fake telephone number in their delivery advice email, and they do not respond to their website chat when there is a problem. The import agent at TNT said that they have had numerous problems with Adoring Dress and they cannot get hold of them either.</p> <p>Beware!  </p>
