Our furniture got damaged, soaked and dirtied. Afriworld denies responsibility

We used Afriworld to move from Bryanston to Mosselbay. When our furniture arrived it had gotten wet along the way. I don't know where but I supervised packing in Bryanston and it was dry when loaded into the truck. The following items were severely damage in transit. - Wooden coffee table gauged - Leather lounge suite damaged - Lounge chair upholstery ripped - Coffee station valued at R40K damaged to a point it is unusable now - Wood dining table was sc****d and chipped - Bar fridge was dented and scratched - Work desk was destroyed - Broken glasses and cultlery. and, and, and. I think you get the picture

We contracted Afriworld on the understanding that they use 3rd party contractors. However they assured us that they were a single contact point and took care of managing the 3rd party contractor.

We have reported this damage to them with photographs as evidence. Sybil from Afriworld now says they only connect 3rd party contractors with us as the client and Afriworld takes no responsibility. So she **** when we approached them. Let's be generous and say she didn't lie then you still have to ask youself the question " surely Afriworld vets their 3rd party contractors?"

Do yourselves a favour if you are moving and get a reputable firm.
