Unprofessional and damaged furniture
Do not recommend using for removals. Had to keep calling myself for arrival/ delivery time. Arrived 2-3 hours later for both collection and delivery. Very unprofessional- made the house extremely dirty during collection. Damaged the dishwasher, dining table and study table. Refused to take any responsibility for poor service. Some of the items were damaged during re- assembly which was paid for. Used my ladder and damaged that when loading truck. Probably the worst experience I’ve had with removals company. Thought it would be good to support local , small businesses- rather use a commercial company

Our furniture got damaged, soaked and dirtied. Afriworld denies responsibility
We used Afriworld to move from Bryanston to Mosselbay. When our furniture arrived it had gotten wet along the way. I don't know where but I supervised packing in Bryanston and it was dry when loaded into the truck. The following items were severely damage in transit. - Wooden coffee table gauged - Leather lounge suite damaged - Lounge chair upholstery ripped - Coffee station valued at R40K damaged to a point it is unusable now - Wood dining table was sc****d and chipped - Bar fridge was dented and scratched - Work desk was destroyed - Broken glasses and cultlery. and, and, and. I think you get the picture We contracted Afriworld on the understanding that they use 3rd party contractors. However they assured us that they were a single contact point and took care of managing the 3rd party contractor. We have reported this damage to them with photographs as evidence. Sybil from Afriworld now says they only connect 3rd party contractors with us as the client and Afriworld takes no responsibility. So she **** when we approached them. Let's be generous and say she didn't lie then you still have to ask youself the question " surely Afriworld vets their 3rd party contractors?" Do yourselves a favour if you are moving and get a reputable firm.

Excellent service rendered by Ronnie and his crew from Intertrans. They went out of their way to assist us in a professional and punctual manner. Their collection and delivery of our furniture was handled with utmost care. Ronnie communicated very well with us, keeping us informed of the whereabouts of our furniture at all times. The Move from Hell!
During the covid-19 pandemic in 2020 I relocated from Boksburg to Howick in Kzn, I used Afriworld for the removal and they were absolutely fantastic, so naturall when I recently moved back to Gauteng from Howick I had no hesitation in once again hiring Afriworld to do the removal. I cannot believe how they went from being fantastic to absolutely terrible. The team that moved us had obviously never done a removal before and their supervisor sat in the comfort of his truck and played no part in the removal process. All of the boxes were damaged without exception; they were thrown into the truck. The damages and breakages were numerous, some of my furniture even had boot prints on them from being stood on! There is only one English word that describes this move: DISGRACEFUL! The Manager did not even take my complaint seriously.

Would just like to say a big thank you to all at the company . There is a reason why we have used your company 4 times over the past 5 years . The professionalised service from beginning to end has always been fantastic , The communication, keeping time , loading and off loading was perfect . To Roni who Listened , understood our concerns and relayed this to his teams , who carried out Our instructions without any fuss . A big Thank You .
