My partner and I recently utilised the service of Air-O-Parking at O.R. Tambo International Airport. When we dropped off the vehicle it was in perfect condition without any faults or damage, however when we picked up the vehicle it had become evident whilst driving that something was wrong with the vehicle as there was a rumbling sensation coming from it. Upon further investigation by going into the vehicles settings we had found a drive train malfunction notification which was hidden and cleared out of the visible control panel display. The notification will pop up automatically when the vehicle is started, however we initially did not notice this because when we picked up the vehicle the vehicle was already started and in park whilst on idle.
Soon after leaving the airport and having discovered the issue with the vehicle whilst on the road, we messaged Air-O-Parking to tell them off the issue. We were then advised that they would have their manager contact me.
I had explained the issue with him, however my feedback on the matter was met with much hostility. The company owner Henco denied any accountability for the issue given that he did not 'personally' drive the vehicle. Whilst this may be true, the vehicle was driven by his employees and during which time something had gone wrong with the vehicle.
Further to this Henco was extremely rude and unprofessional and even went as far as to try turn around the situation to accuse us of trying to de***** him by stating that the vehicle had the issue before It was dropped off with his guys. He further attempted to back up his argument by referencing the fact that when I had dropped off the vehicle I enquired if their parking facility which is external to the Airport is insured. As a vehicle owner allowing a third party service provider to drive and store my vehicle, it is my right to enquire if they have liability cover to be conducting their business operations and this enquiry should not be used against me should something in fact go wrong with the vehicle whilst it is in the care of the third party service provider.
The customer service received from Henco was extremely disgusting to say the least. I see that I am not the only one to have had a bad experience with this company and many others have never received any resolution in their issues. My only regret is that I did not research these reviews before having utilised the service.
Would highly not recommend this company to anyone. Please use with high caution!!!
