<p>Hello Peter,</p> <p> </p> <p>I am appalled by the service I am currently receiving from this guest house in Kempton Park. I am turning 26 years old on the 26th of this month and decided to go big. I booked at the Modjadji Guest House. I have friends all over the show so I decided to arrange accommodation for my 10 guests. I reserved 5 rooms (2people per room) for all my friends at a price of R3000.00, I paid cash. I did all of this on the 15th October 2016 well in advance. I have ordered my cake, I have bought the décor and drinks for my special day to share with friends and family. To my dismay as I call the guest house recently to ask to view the venue, I was told by the guest house owner that the manager had disappeared with their stolen assets and money. Which is an unfortunate event for them but they then mentioned that they knew nothing about my bookings and will not even refund me my money. I sent my proof of payment email conversations and proof of room numbers reserved, but the owner still insists that he has nothing to do with all this. I am a customer who is inheriting the risks of the internal affairs and made to suffer this horrible punishment for their own mismanagement of their guest house? I am hurt my birthday is next weekend and I don’t know what to tell my family and friends. The owner is not cooperative and I am left helpless. I want my money back to I can at least book somewhere else where I can have fun on my birthday.</p> <p> </p> <p>Hurting and helpless,</p> <p>Charlotte.</p>
