If anybody is profiting from tha corona crisis it's the big food supermarket chains. But still they are extremely stingy with employing staff. I the branch in Germany I go to often people at the cash register are rushed permanently. They make mistakes which can probably not be avoided under the circumstances. In each shopping I did within the crisis there has been a mistake to my disadvantage. This I only find out at home because there is no space and place to check inside the shop. The packing into bags has to happen outside. If I come with a detected mistake later, I am told I should have reported this immediately. If I go immediately (it's difficult because one doesn't understand each detail, name etc from the invoice without unpacking each item) I have to wait for the next customer to go through and get aggressive glances and remarks from the following ones in the queue. Could Aldi not have one staff availaible for that kind of customer services, where things can be sorted? They certainly make enough profit to finance a job like that.
