I got given a gift voucher from a friend who thought i might like Alida's hair and beauty studio. On the voucher it states the voucher is only valid for 2 months from date of purchase.
I called the studio to ask if i could get an extension on my voucher as it expires at the end of December 2015. I would have liked to have used the voucher for hair color etc in January as i am attending a wedding in February 2016. The extension time needed would only be an extra 30days max. But they refused to help me. i then asked if i could book for a couples massage with them in 10days time, and apparently they are fully booked and cant help me at all. They are also closing for December with takes away another 10 days off my voucher expiry date which is also why they cant help me.

I would like to know what is the point of having the vouchers expire? Even if their prices do increase, my voucher will will be worth the amount written on it, i wont get any more out of it just because i have taken my time to use it.
I am fairly new to the area and would have liked to find my new hair dresser, but one thing for sure, it wont be Alida's.
