My moms number has been an active vodacom number for years. We had issues where edgars put my moms number on contract without her agreeing to it. After we FINALLY got that issue sorted out, my moms number was listed as prepaid. My mom recieved an SMS this morning saying that she needs to Rica her number. We did not get the chance to do it so her number was just cut off. Now my mom is without a working phone. The call center cant help and wont leave the number active for just another day till we get a chance to Rica it. I really cant understand why it now needs to be Rica'd again. It's been an active number for years? Really am very disappointed. Switching my mom to MTN as a result!
My mom has an edgars account and has for many many years. She bought her cell phone (an old blackberry) from edgars on her account years ago. Without her knowledge she had charges on her account for airtime. when she asked about it, it turned out to be cell c airtime. She is on vodacom first of all, and second of all never asked for or agreed to receive airtime on her account. After struggling she eventually managed to get the monthly airtime cancelled. I would like to get my mom a new phone, however i could only find the phone she wants at MTN, so we would need to port my moms Vodacom number to MTN. I have been told this cant be done because my moms number is a contract number... I called Vodacom, they told me the contract is with Edgars - RSC. I called the Edgars airtime department and they confirmed this "contract" that my mom never agreed to was cancelled a long time ago, they just never switched my moms number to a prepaid number. They told me i had to wait 24 to 48 WORKING hours. it is now a week later and it has still not been done. When i called the edgars airtime department to complain, I was told it has been done. but Vodacom says still not, and Vodacom cant do anything to help me. When i called the edgars airtime department back again i was told i must wait a month and that they cant help me, i must just wait a month. Why on earth should i have to wait a MONTH for a contract that was cancelled YEARS ago to switch my moms number from contract to prepaid? And why can no one do anything about it? The people in the edgars airtime department lie to you and are extremely disrespectful when you complain. NEVER BUY A PHONE FROM EDGARS! You will be signed up for a contract that you never asked for and have endless problems to get things cancelled. Even the call center agent from Vodacom told me that EDGARS did the same thing to his mom which he had to cancel for her. It is like you are targeting older people and committing fraud!!!!! Disgusting, shame on you!
I was charged R1300 for a cut and solid colour. I have never paid so much in my life before. The cut makes me feel sick every time I see it because it is way way too short and not what i wanted. The colour is also not what i wanted and you cant blame the colour for the price because i had half my hair cut off before colour as to not waste the colour. Melanie told me that she could also not do a blow wave as i was late. If i was late i was maybe 2 or 3 minutes late. But thank goodness i didn't have a blow wave as i would have probably paid another R600 for the damn blow wave. I will never go back! Melanie does not listen to what you want, she does her own thing and then over charges. Cant believe I was ripped off so badly.
I got given a gift voucher from a friend who thought i might like Alida's hair and beauty studio. On the voucher it states the voucher is only valid for 2 months from date of purchase.<br> I called the studio to ask if i could get an extension on my voucher as it expires at the end of December 2015. I would have liked to have used the voucher for hair color etc in January as i am attending a wedding in February 2016. The extension time needed would only be an extra 30days max. But they refused to help me. i then asked if i could book for a couples massage with them in 10days time, and apparently they are fully booked and cant help me at all. They are also closing for December with takes away another 10 days off my voucher expiry date which is also why they cant help me. <br> <br> I would like to know what is the point of having the vouchers expire? Even if their prices do increase, my voucher will will be worth the amount written on it, i wont get any more out of it just because i have taken my time to use it.<br> I am fairly new to the area and would have liked to find my new hair dresser, but one thing for sure, it wont be Alida's.
