Warning - buyer be aware! Well, that was a waste of money.. summary says if your trip is interrupted or has travel delays, they pay out. But if you read the fine print, most day to day conditions are actually excluded. Travel carriers need to be on strike, shutdown or there needs to be a natural disaster. All other realistic carrier related issues are excluded. So if airline cancels or the aircraft needs repairs.. you’re on your own! Husband’s flight was delayed, then cancelled, then rerouted. Allianz says ag shame, so sad, bye bye.. Buyer be aware. Won’t use them again!

Bought travel insurance in November 2024 and just before I had to travel Itrip had to be cancelled due to riots in Mozambique. I asked if they can amend dates. They told me they could not do so, and I would need to cancel the first policy to get a refund and then purchase a new travel insurance policy. I requested a cancellation of the first policy with refund and purchased a new one, as advised. Now when I query the refund, they tell me it has been processed, but there is no reversal of funds that appears on my card statement and I have checked with my bank multiple times.

I have been sending documents and not received any confirmation an receipt. They don't give feedback on the process. The case worker is rude. You can't phone and get hold of them. Never awnser the phones.

Have nothing to do with Allianz Travel Insurance. I took out medical cover for a trip to Spain. I experienced a medical crisis there, but when I tried to claim from Allianz, it wouldn't go through. I made telephonic contact with them, and they sounded very concerned and helpful, but since then my number has been blocked and all emails remain unanswered. They are a ****, they will take your money and deliver nothing.

I am over 76 old so then travel insurance becomes an issue with multiple criteria and increased premium. I did not find it so with Allianz! applying was fast, with very friendly response and at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, during my travel abroad had a medical issue and needed to claim back. Same very speedy response and within 10 days my claim was settled. I will in future not hesitate to take out my travel insurance with Allianz and can honestly recommend it.

Allianz sells travel insurance on FlyAirLink booking site and does not respond to emails in almost 4 months! Airlink suggests I call them on Tuesday 10 Sep at 3:50pm, the answering machine refers to business hours 8-4:30, requests to leave a message, and then hangs up.

This company finds every excuse not to pay a client. Did an overseas holiday recently and the luggage wheels were damaged due to cobblestoned streets. Unfortunately, not having data or access to WiFi, I could not report it immediately (I was assured by my travel agent that we will have WiFi on the bus etc, so I didn't need expensive international roaming, but that's a story for another day). A week later when I got home, it was reported and they are refusing to pay as it was not reported immediately. Using a technicality to get out of paying for a claim. This is so frustrating as I am claiming so much less than the amount that the luggage is covered for, but they are being adamant that the will not pay. My advise, use any other company for travel insurance except Allianz.
