In desperate need of guidance

A guy called me saying they can help me with my debt so that I can pay a lower interest rate, where I will be paying the bank back directly, due to those words I was put under the impression it's linked with my bank. No indication that I will be under debt review, I never wanted to be put under debt review , the guy send me a link where I had to send him bank statements, copy of my ID as well as my signature, he said a lady will contact me after our call to finalize the contract, after the call ended I received a message on WhatsApp from the company saying thanks for the documents, in the message I saw they are debt reviewer's, when the lady called me I told her that I am not interested in it anymore as I was miss informed and don't want to be under debt review I asked her if she can stop the debit order, a few hours later a guy called me asking why I want to cancel, when I gave him my reason he started to get rude with me and kept on insisting it's better this way , I told him for me it's not and that I wish for the debit order to be taken down then he hung up on me , now there contact details keep on ringing and then cuts off , can someone help me by giving me the next steps I should take to sort this problem please.
