Alphen Vet, I'll be back ....

Top-tier veterinary services in what feels more like a family home than a 'clinic' for our furry off-spring'. Alphen Veterinary Clinic (Constantia, Cape Town), takes client-service to a whole new level and I'm not only referring to our pets, but to us human 'parents' too. From the highly experienced, professionalism of the Veterinarians to the understanding and attentive staff members ... (can you imagine being ushered to a comfy, leather sofa and told to relax whilst the receptionist brings the paperwork to you, assisting you with completing the necessary whilst encouraging you to sit back and relax?). The Alphen team's love of animals is not only apparent in the consulting rooms, it rolls out onto a back garden, complete with springbok and a grumpy goat. It felt like a 'boutique hotel' experience and I was nervous about the cost. Cherry on top? I was charged less than I've been paid before (the vet even discouraged certain treatments, albeit that it made no fiscal sense to the business). but, the cherry on the top is that their charges were less than the vet I've seen before now. There were no unruly animals in sight, hysterical cats trying to dodge dogs while you cling go a wooden bench, feeling as if you are in a queue at Home Affairs. Oh yes, and there's not a whiff of wet fur, animal **** or formaldehyde. I'll never go anywhere else.
