They should be shut down.

My experience with this Property Agency and specifically the agent, Liezl Olivier, was beyond unacceptable, and they should be shut down as a company. They are a disgusting institution that doesn't mind exploiting financially vulnerable students for their own financial gain. It took days of emails, ignored phone calls and legal action threats to receive our correct deposit amounts back (not including the exhorbitant admin fees). It was the most unprofessional behaviour I've ever witnessed in the service industry. There were multiple instances of legally compromising actions taken by Anna Basson and Liezl in particular. Among these included fabricating legal documents (including a pre-occupation inspection document), incorporating null fees into lease agreements, violating the POPIA Act and attempting to pay us out of personal funds to silence us. It is so frustrating that this institution and Liezl are able to just continue doing this year in and year out, because they target populations that typically can't afford legal aid. I would highly recommend you do not take your business to Anna Basson Eiendomme, and in particular, Liezl Olivier.
