Huge Let down in Service from Authors petshop in Newton Park Port Elizabeth

As a paying customer supporting Authors petshop for quite a few years, I would like to express my complete disappointment in the customer service experienced by Authors petshop and do not recommend that anyone purchase anything from them in the future (I will definitely not). On the 28th of October 2020 I purchased a bag of Ideal dog food. A few days later we started noticing very small white objects moving around the bag of dog food, after carefully inspecting it we realised that it was bird mites and immediately notified Authors petshop who then contacted the warehouse supplying the dogfood to the petshop. The warehouse assisted us by hiring a pest control company to exterminate my sisters (who also bought the same dog food from Authors petshop) as well as my home for five days without having any luck in trying to control the rapid increase of the pest within our homes, the Nutripet warehouse also replaced most of the groceries affected. Although Authors petshop was the suppliers of this product to us they showed complete disregard to the issue and completely ignored us on several requests for assistance from them to control the pest outbreak in our homes brought upon by their negligence in stock control. Their only words to us were that we should “use a vacuum cleaner to remove the mites”. We are currently not able to occupy our homes and still do not have a solution to the outbreak. Please do not buy any products from this store as they cannot guarantee customer satisfaction once they have received your money. We are in the process of getting the health inspectors involve as we believe that this store is a hazard to the environment and the owners clearly does not have control over their staff.
