As a severe hemi I attended Nutcracker on Friday night 27 February. Having contacted Artscape by phone beforehand, parking for disabled was made available as well as a wheelchair (in good condition) was brought to us. The staff absolutely professional, helpful and made it easy for me/us. 10/10 for the lady who stopped entrance for the non needy (lazy?) on the top floor to enter the one lift, because on the 2nd floor we could not get in several times. Then we also got a chance at the end of the show to go to the ground floor. Perfect experience. All five stars deserved. And what a brilliant ballet show!!!.

I have had the most frustrating experience with Artscape and Webtickets. The staff at Artscape, namely Portia and Keitan, were so very very unhelpful, as was Michaela at Webtickets. I turn 60 in a month’s time and I am booking a show for 2 month’s time but there system will not acknowledge my pensioner status at the time of the show and Artscape refuse to override the system ir help me in any way! Useless and unhelpful staff, namely Portia and Keiran from Artscape and Michaela from Webtickets. So unfair!

I turn 60 in a month’s time and I am booking a show for 2 month’s time but there system will not acknowledge my pensioner status at the time of the show and Artscape refuse to override the system ir help me in any way! Useless and unhelpful staff, namely Portia and Keiran from Artscape and Michaela from Webtickets. So unfair!

My recent dealings with the Artscape Theatre were an absolute pleasure from the minute the telephone was answered until I had the tickets in my handbag. Nandipa in reservations was extremely patient, polite, friendly and efficient. I have a disabled guest and Nandipa went out of her way to help. She reserved a parking for me, ensured that we would not have to climb any stairs and just made the entire booking experience a happy one

I went to see Evita on my birthday with my son and his partner. We could not hear one word that came from Eva Peron's mouth, nor from some of the others in the cast at the beginning. I am a qualified speech & drama teacher and the greatest sin a theatre artist can commit is to have such poor voice projection that they are inaudible throughout their performance. My son paid for expensive tickets as a treat for my birthday and my evening was ruined!

<p>we decided to go to the show Annie this evening, arriving early to have a bite beforehand. we sat down nd waited and waited to be tended to. finally a menu is brought, we ordered drinks and 2 burgers and chips, the kids had chicken strips and chips. the food took over 35minutes and nobody was to be seen service wise, no communication between kitchen and waitrons or waitrons and customers. the burgers cost R85 and were frozen pre-packed patties that tasted awful, they put a piece of what i gather was 'cheese'. we will NEVER be back. service is non existant and the food terrible. dont waste your time or money. disappointing start to a great evening.</p>

<p>Let me be very clear, my gripe is not with the Artscape Theater, per se, but rather with Pieter Toerien Productions - who is running their production of Annie at the Artscape at the moment (but Artscpae is the only entity on Hello Peter to which I can hook my gripe). </p> <p> </p> <p>Be very sure when purchasing tickets to Annie that you scroll waaaaaay down on the page, and click on every to link to actually see the important information that "no under 5s allowed at evening performances". I recently purchased tickets to Annie, and only say that nugget of information once I clicked on the link to print my tickets. Age restriction information really is buried on the site and not prominent at all. So, of course, I can no longer go because the whole point of going to Annie was so as to be able to take my young daughter - who is three - and begin a tradition of going to a production at Christmas time. I call to get a refund, only to be told that I can only be refunded 50% of my purchase prince. 50% - that's daylight robbery - especially when there is ample time to resell the tickets. So, let this experience be a warning to others - be very careful when buying tickets to a Pieter Toerien Production - they con you out of money nicely!</p>

<p>You would think a night or afternoon at the theatre is special, and it is. In this case the Cape Town City ballets Sleeping Beauty. We arrived early so that we could eat at the restaurant attached to the theatre. What a disaster.</p> <p>Firstly the staff were rude and abrubpt. Secondly half of what we ordered on the menu was not available. I wanted a Milkshake - We Don't have milkshakes. But it's on your menu - WE Don't have. Oh well then could I have a waffel with ice cream and chocolate sauce. We have no ice cream.</p> <p> </p> <p>I asked to speak to the Manager 3 times - I am still waiting - he was not there or could not have cared anyway. My suggestion to patrons going to the Artscape, leave earlier and eat somewhere else so you can actually enjoy the performance, this restaurant is a joke.</p>

My ex-husband’s pension fund number is 98355888. I have completed all the papers needed but when you call them, they keep on telling me it’s with the lawyers, after 2 months of sending a new paperwork as they could not locate it and 4 months awaiting payment. What is a person supposed to do if nobody can give you any truthful answers?
