We thought to pop into Asian Asia before we hit the Barnyard. Their daily specials looked good and we opted to go for the R119 and R149 buffet sushi special. Would have been nice if the waiter or any staff member told us about the fine print. Seeing its a sushi buffet, we obviously stock up on the good stuff. We didn't take note of the time and realized if we not going to leave soon, we will be late for our show. We told the waiter that we sorry but will not finish all our sushi and because it is sushi we would prefer not to have a take away. After all it was a darn buffet. The waiter mumbled something and not long the owner/manager came over and explained, one have to pay a minimum of R8 per sushi for each piece of sushi which was left not eaten on your plate. This resulted that we had to pay more for the left over sushi then the listed buffet price. This is totally ridiculous and contradicts the meaning of a buffet menu. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry to leave and I didn't want to argue the matter. However, this is a ridiculous money making scheme and is a totally unacceptable practice and deserves a notice of complain on Hellopeter. I will never go back !!!
