Being stubborn

My wife had an motor vehicle accident on 6 September. Luckily no one was injured but the car was left obstructing traffic. Someone assisted her by getting the vehicle out of the road and accidentally made a dent in the tailgate. Assessors does not want to include this as part of the accident and say its an separate incident. I say its secondary due to the accident and if vehicle was left in the road it could have caused another accident or more damage and therefore should be included. We had to wait about 2hours before police came to scene and only then the tow truck could take the vehicle. This is unacceptable that you don't include this as it was immediately communicated and explained and not done intentionally. If this does not get sorted out I will contact the ombudsman.
