Purchased a Volvo XC40 from their branch in Midrand with a 100000/60 Maintenance plan. Had problems trying to do annual services on vehicle on 2 occasions as according to Volvo SA the vehicles plan was already registered on their system in May or June. So instead of me servicing my vehicle at the end of September I now had to service it in May or June.

Volvo SA I write/send this mail with a very disappointed heart every part of my being is shattered by the fall off service by Volvo On the 23rd of April 2024 at exactly 07:45 Myself and Family were on our way to our daily activities which is Taking Kids to school and heading to work, right at this time our Volvo XC60 Inscription B6 2022 decided to Stop/Die in the middle of a Mine Exit Boom Gate We called Volvo On Call service to be assisted in locating a tow truck which did come and pick the Vehicle up and head to Volvo Garage Rustenburg, North West We were than told that a Technician would check what is happening than we would be given feedback, 2days later we received feedback that a whatever is wrong with the Car so parts would have to be ordered so that it can be repaired and we would than be assigned a Courtesy car As I write this mail it is the 30th Of April 2024 we are being told that Volvo South Africa doesn't have a Courtesy Car for us How the hell am I suppose to take my kids to School? How the hell am I and Husband suppose to get to work Bare in mind that this same Vehicle that we are crying about it is not the first time it's being taken in for repairs when we purchased the Car in Bloemfontein Volvo South Africa the Car had 0 on the Clock but the troubles that came with this Car you would swear it was an old Car, imagine every month paying R25k inclusive of Insurance for a Vehicle that is forever in for Silly repairs I have lost all Respect and trust in the Volvo Brand I fell in love with Volvo when my Family and I went for a Holiday in Sweden and when we got back to South Africa I knew that our Next Car would be a Volvo, but I curse and regret the day we decided to buy a Volvo Volvo is not the safest or reliable brand Volvo must just Close shop and let go of the Slogan "Safe" Immediately when we get that our Car back I am definitely selling it and moving back to Mercedes-Benz My Family and I have a Funeral that we need to definitely attend in Kimberly over the weekend how in the hell are we going to get there with no Car? What a disappointment I will be sharing this on all Social Media platforms and with My Legal Team the Trauma that Volvo has caused myself and Family is saddening We can't go to work or take our kids to school all because Volvo the biggest brand in the World doesn't have a Courtesy Car, what a shame Shame on you Volvo and Team I hope to receive a response from you guy's by the end of this week if not you will definitely be hearing from my Legal Team, I am enough with Volvo Dr Judith Tikoane 0761662822.

Please stay away from this dealership. I took my car in for a R30 000 service. When I handed my keys over there was no inspection done on my vehicle with me. The service manager Mario Barnard asked me to quickly sign the job card. I did. When I collected my car two days later the whole windscreen was cracked. I complained to say that when i left the car the windscreen was not cracked. The service manager had added to the empty "job card" which i signed that the windscreen was broken. I am adamant that it was not broken. They said they would ask for the video footage of me entering the premises. I agreed that i wanted it too. Till now three days later still no footage. Cant get hold of the company with the footage they say. The service manager went on to swear in front of my PA saying that he has done everything to keep that F......g woman happy , referring to me in front of his colleagues as well. They looked on in shock at his comment. My vehicle is insured and I could easily claim a windscreen, out of principle I will not. They damaged my windscreen and should replace it. I keep being pushed from pillar to post. The manager of the complaints department of the supergroup division, Candice Mkenna doesnt bother to call me back. Terrible dishonesty and service from this dealership.

I took my car to Volvo Auto Baltic Midrand in Feb this year and my car is still there. They have not been updating me at all and I have been the one who always have to follow up. Firstly they told me that the car had issues with the Fuse Box which they told me it is not covered by the warrantee. They replaced the refuse box. Still the car did not start. They then told me it was a starter, they replaced the starter and claimed from the warrantee and told me i was going to be responsible for about R1500. The car still did not start. When I followed up they told me the issue is now a ECM. All this time they have never given me any diagnostic report. They have now submitted a claim for ECM and told me I was only cover for a portion of that. My car has been with these guys for almost 5 months now which is unacceptable and I have been paying installment on the I am not using and each time I am the one following up on my car status. My issue is that I dont believe that these guys correctly diagnised my car and they kept on trying everything and in the process charging me for parts and labour. I am not even sure if the last part they fitted is the correct issue of the car. I am very disappointed with this dealership and I would recommend it to anyone.

After having turbo issues on my new XC 40 bought from Volvo Silver Lakes, they could not get the fault, nor offered a courtesy car while looking into it. After having previous issues with that dealership, I turned to Volvo Nelspruit. I was a new client, but they still offered me a courtesy car for three weeks while fixing the turbo etc. Hats off to them. They managed to find the fault, fix it, and deliver my Volvo more than 200km from their dealership. Outstanding service

I bought a Volvo V60 at Auto Baltic Nelspruit in January 2018. The car showed technical/Mechanical message REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE within 4 days. Once a sign appears the car goes to limp mode and drive itself at 30km/h. The dealer tried several times to fix the problem but with no success. The car often gave me problems, it was not reliable, such failures would happen at any time in my journeys without any warning. I negotiated for a replacement with the car of similar specification but instead, firstly I was told that the only option was for me to add money so that they can sell to me a Volvo V90.Talk about unethical business practice. I could see that all they care was to make money out of me not to solve the problem they created. Secondly I was offered another car with different specifications than the Volvo V60 and it did not meet my needs, which I refused. I eventually returned the Volvo V60 to the dealer Auto Baltic Volvo Nelspruit because one cannot keep a car that fails a basic function of mobility of taking me from point A to point B, the car was unreliable. Though I continued to honour my contract with the bank. I too the matter to MIOSA and National Consumer Commission (NCC) because of the unwillingness of the dealer to solve the problem. But up until today the matter is not resolve as this is the 4th year and no out come even from the NCC. I thought maybe it is me alone but another friend bought a Volvo XC60 he indicated that it also gave him problems, though different to mine and the same dealer is not helping.SO TO ME THIS SIMPLY MEANS VOLVO IS NOT A RELIABLE CAR. SO FRIENDS OUT THERE THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO AND BUY A VOLVO and more so from Auto Baltic Volvo Nelspruit. Because the dealer does not care at all, all they care is to milk us money and run away from taking responsibility and accountability for their problematic cars.

In 2018 January, I bought a Volvo V60 (the car) from Auto Baltic Volvo (the Dealer) in Nelspruit, within 4 days faulty message appeared which reads:REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMAMANCE . I took the car to the dealer which attended the problem which seem minor. Then the same problem kept on coming in February 2018, I was instructed to take the car to the Volvo dealer in Silver Lake Pretoria as I was working in Pretoria by then. The same problem continued to appear several times and I took the car to the dealer/s for fixing. The problem was that once a message appear the car went to a limp mode and it drove its for 30km/h there is nothing you can do about it as the car would not respond to anything. It should that the car had a mechanical and Technical problem which the dealer regardless of trying several times to fix but failing. Because the dealer once to took the car for almost 19 days for fixing and testing. When I finally go the car back I was assured that the car will not give me problems because it COMPREHENSIVELY TESTED. But guess what? the problem continued. Then I negotiated for the exchange for another car with similar specifications. Then I was told that the only option was for me to buy Volvo V90. This would cost me more money than I could afford as the instalment was R17 000 per month vs the R10 800 I was paying. Other than that to me was, the dealer is practice was unethical. Because you sold me a car which has mechanical and technical problems without disclosure and now from the problem you created you want to make more money? instead of solving the problem at hand?. Then I was told by the dealer that they will work something out, but nothing was done it promise after promise. I took the matter to the Consumer Affairs which initiated mediation. For three months Auto Baltic Volvo, did not respond. I was given a certificate and I took the matter to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa.(MIOSA). Which declared that the dealer is right. My question was ,how can the dealer be right with this injustice. I am paying a lot of money for the car which firstly its mechanical and technical problem was not disclosed to me on the time of the sale and then failed to perform a basic function of a car, which is to take me from point A to point B and the dealer tried several times to fix and the dealer refuses to exchange the car with another car and yet the dealer is right? I eventually returned the car to the dealer with both two sets of its keys. Then the dealer principal called me after three months to say he is prepared to give me Jaguar, I refused because firstly, it was not a negotiation it was give and take. Secondly Jaguar did not meet my specifications, I did not want a sedan. Volvo V60 is more spacious and family car than a Jaguar sedan. In fact I wanted to buy and SUV but I could not afford it hence I resorted to Volvo V60. I then took the matter further to the National Consumer Commission (NCC) which stayed with the case for more that two years, regardless of their turn around time being 60 days. Several follow ups made and also reported to the Office of the Public Protector about the NCC refusing to conclude the case or advance reasons why the case is not concluded but to no avail. At the writing of this review the NCC has not given me the outcome of the case.

I purchased a vehicle from Auto Baltic Volvo Eastrand only to discover that the tyres are not Road Worthy. This was raised with the Sales person Ansie Van Der Westhuizen (Sales Person) who just brushed it off. I spoke to the Dealer principle (David Broodryk) who had a look at the tyres and agreed to replace only the back 2 tyres. I have left messages for him and he never calls you back. The receptionist also does not have a mobile number for him. The service is pathetic. Regret ever having dealt with this garage. I have purchased many vehicles from Tom Campher and the service is impeccable.
