i have book an appointment on the babs system for a application for my identity document, received my date for the application, only to get to the Mitchell's plain home affairs branch to be told that their cables had been ******, i then tried to rebook an appointment on the site , that firstly is not user friendly at all!, secondly called the toll free number for the contact center to get assistance and countless emails to the email provided on the site, but no response at all, the staff doesn't even know how to answer a call, escalate a query never mind rebook an appointment as per the website indicates if you as a south African citizen needs assistance to make use of this service that is claimed to be quick and easy... but is not, i was told by the very ***********ly consultant on the call that the manager would contact me to resolve this very serious query as one need an identity document , and still no response since last week already, been battling with this query for more than a month now.
