We recently stayed at 27 Santorini Perissa, which we booked through Ballito Accommodation via Airbnb, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
The air conditioner did not work for the duration of our stay. Considering that this is Ballito and the weather is hot and humid, a functioning air conditioner is not a luxury — it’s a basic necessity. What made it worse is that we most certainly did not pay a cheap rate for this unit. For the price charged, one would expect everything to be in proper working order.
Each time we raised the issue, we were simply told by Bridget and Khanyi that “the technician is on their way.” This was the same response repeatedly, yet nothing was resolved while we were there. It felt like we were being brushed off rather than assisted. There was no real sense of urgency, no alternative solution offered, and no accountability taken.
It is unacceptable to charge premium rates for accommodation where essential amenities do not function, and even more unacceptable to provide empty reassurances instead of actual service. Sadly, this stay did not meet even basic expectations, and we would not recommend this unit based on our experience.
