Be weary! Disappointed, unprofessional service!!.
It is quite interesting that this company installs other clients doors while I wait in vain for mine for 2 months. Your new clients should be made aware of your unprofessional behaviour and dubious spam….. Deposit pd on the 12th May. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, I have received no meaningful response regarding the delayed fabrication of my door. Your consistent lack of communication and failure to provide valid updates or solutions is unacceptable. Due to this continued negligence and unmet commitments, I am formally requesting an immediate refund of R3250.00. I have tried in vain to resolve this amicably through numerous messages, but it is clear that no further cooperation is forthcoming from your side. I am still waiting for my refund. Calan Bennett

Super smooth
My sincere thanks to Barn Doors 4 Africa. My first barn door installed 18 months ago, recently installed the third one. The hand-made quality is well worth waiting for. The only slight problem I have is that the slide is so smooth that my dog learned to open the door with a flick of his snout.

Super smooth

Promises, promises and no delivery.
I am so sorry I did not read these reviews before ordering my doors. I paid my deposit on 5 July with promises ever since of installation. Almost 2 months later and still no doors. You just can't get hold of these people. If you phone them on the advertised number, the phone is just switched off. The messages on WhatsApp just don't get answered. Messages on Messenger are not answered even though you can see they are active on Messenger. If you are lucky to get hold of them, they just give you false hope. My first installation was supposed to happen during the week of 17 July. My husband went to the premises last week just to find out that they are not even finish with my doors and was then promised that the doors will be installed on Saturday, 26 August. Yes, you know what I am going to say next ..... again, a no show or any communication. Please spare yourself a lot of frustration and rather get someone else to do the work for you. I truly like to support small businesses, but this will be my last time.

Love my door but will never use them again!
I ordered my door in May 2023 expected the door 2nd week of June, I saw all the bad posts about the company taking long but I wasnt in a hurry. I kept checking in, sometimes they responded sometimes they didnt. When things took too long early July I went to their house and got a host of excuses. They dont have labour, they dont have a decent vehicle, they work outside so they cant work when it rains, they dont have any business etiquette so they dont honour their appointments. twice I waited for them to arrive with my doors for installation. Eventually 10 August they showed up and did an excellent installation. My doors are beautiful. Initially I paid 50% dep so I owed them the balance. I promised to pay the next day, my husband however had a very busy day and didnt get around to it. The saturday we had the kids at swimming and when we sat down to do payments around mid day I checked my phone and found a voicenote accusing me of playing games and being called ugly names. After I waited 3 months for my door they couldnt wait 1 day for their money. plus their vehicle messed oil in my driveway which is now stained!!!! If anyone needs an alternate contact number, they called me from 0662665043 perhaps this helps you.

The worse experience ever, R5,700 gone and no door.
Stay far far away!! I’ve orders my door from Karen at Barn Doors 4 Africa back in February 2023 it is August now and I am still waiting for it. I have fully paid for the door plus delivery and installation which totaled R5,700 and to date my door has not been delivered. Right now Karen is not even responding to my messages. I went to her place in Brackenfell to meet her and see what the issue was and was told that her truck had issues but that she got the truck fixed and will be delivering the door the next day, we arranged a time to meet at my place for her to install but she never showed up and has stopped taking my calls. I’ve asked for a refund as I no longer want the door. I have left multiple messages on her phone and she has basically ghosted me. I have screenshot of the WhatsApp messages that I wish I could attached here, but I don’t see an option to do so here. Because I wanted to show how bad of a company this is. You have been warned, proceed at your own risk.

My chief gripe with this company is the total and complete lack of customer care and communication. There is one method of contact which is a cellphone/WhatsApp number. This is totally ignored by the owners. Appointments are completely ignored, messages unread, calls unanswered (Facebook messages are automatically answered giving the WhatsApp cell number. I was so frustrated and eventually, when my door was installed and not completed, I found it impossible to contact them again. Oh, and just a suggestion, the owners need to get a decent bakkie. It was used as an excuse for every problem. I will NEVER use them again and have ended up completing the installation myself.

Barn doors 4 Africa - #fraudulent
I paid my deposit and am now getting no answer via WhatsApp. Does anyone know who to contact? They blocked me via WhatsApp, SMS, and phone calls. No email responses. I'll have reverse payments. I have not had any communication from them in over 10 days. Any advice will be appreciated. They seemed friendly and eager up until the deposit was paid, thereafter silence
