I would like to report Bawas. The company sent me an email confirming that my order would be delivered on 6 March. I made arrangements to be available that day and even missed work while waiting for the driver.
On Friday, the driver called me at 14:48 and asked if I stay in Soweto. I told him that I stay in Palmridge. He then said he would deliver on Saturday, 7 March, and I agreed. I waited the whole day on Saturday for the delivery. I even called him at 16:13, but he did not answer my calls.
On Sunday, 8 March, the driver called me at 17:15 and told me that he was going back to Durban and asked why I didn’t remind him on Saturday.
What is very upsetting is that Bawas is now claiming that the driver called me and I did not answer. That is not true. I asked them to provide proof of when the driver called and I supposedly did not answer. The consultant said they would send the proof tomorrow, but I asked for it on Monday and still have not received anything.
I also requested a refund because the order was never delivered. I paid R6,498.00, but they are saying they will only refund R6,000. I want to know why the R500 shipping fee is not being refunded when the delivery failure was not my fault.
To make matters worse, I bought a bed and after receiving the delivery confirmation email, I threw away my old bed. It has now been 7 days that I have been sleeping on the floor while waiting for them to return my money.
Please assist me with this matter as I believe this is very unfair and unacceptable.
