Paid BCR Electronics an assessment fee of R1125 (R562.5 each) on 8 Dec 2025 to diagnose our Defy fridge and AEG freezer. The technician said the Defy likely needed a new thermostat and the AEG a new compressor, and that the company would send a full report and repair quote. They only quoted for the AEG (unrepairable) after I phoned twice, finally responding on 22 December. For the Defy — despite multiple follow-ups — zero feedback, no report, no quotation even by late January 2026. Due to the complete lack of response, I had to get another service provider, who tested the thermostat (found it working 100%) and discovered the real issue was a restricted fan in the freezer compartment—not the thermostat at all. I requested a refund of the assessment fee for the Defy unit (since no service, report, or quotation was ever provided) via detailed email — complete silence. No reply, no refund, no accountability. Extremely poor communication, unprofessional service, and zero customer care. Avoid this company if you value your time and money. Disappointing experience — would not recommend.
