Beach Hotel, Durban South - Worst hotel experience

We booked into the Beach hotel for what was supposed to be friday and saturday night. The attendant only booked us in for 1 night instead of 2 (We should have checked our reservation details - my fault). We got in late on Friday and on Saturday morning discovered that the toilet was leaking and had flooded the bathroom and there was no hot water. As we could not use the bathroom, we requested another room and was told that was not possible and it didnt matter because we needed to check out anyway. We had to go to a relatives home in order to use the bathroom before attending a function! The lady at reception was rude and not helpful at all. I then contacted the manager (who was not there at the time) but did call me back and requested that we be refunded at least part of our money as we could not use the facilities. She promised to get back to me on Monday, 30 Nov. A week later and still no response. <br> <br> Pathetic service!
