In Saturday I went to verimark to purchase a dust pan with a rubber bristle brush. While I was waiting to pay i saw a toilet brush cleaner set that I could put special chemicals in that come through the brush area to clean the toilet. In fact its called Cleanwiz Toilet brush pro.
There was a small perspex stand on the display with a special price it was either R199 or R179 I cannot remember this offer applies while stocks last no end date. When I wanted to pay for it I was told that it was actually R249. I pointed out the special offer message and told the lady that there was nowhere stating that the price was R249 but that it was a special price per the little promotional stand which was positioned on top of a large quantity of the same product.
The lady proceeded to call a different branch and was told that the price was R249. She then told me that notice should not have been there and promptly removed the sign and aid i have to pay full price. The difference in price is neither here nor there, it the fact that even though the sign read "while stocks last. Firstly there was a lot of stock. Secondly the although probably in charge, had to call another branche gain information re the price. Thirdly the whole special deal was not available irrespective of the fact that there was still a lit of stock. Fourth it just doesn't seem that special offers aren't exactly as advertised and people " forget " to remove the sign ( convenient). Does anyone know the meaning of being professional, or do the staff just call each other to check prices only to tell me "they whomever they are " forgot to take the sign away. There was no end date to this offer on the promotion material. Is this what is meant by being professional, a company that advertises on television. Another thing not one of the products had the prices of the products on the shelves. Surely that should be addressed. My daughter was with me and she witnessed this whole debacle, in case you are told that these are untruths. This complaint is due to I really don't know what to call it, but very bad business practice We are blessed to be able to be secure in all areas of our lives where if we want to buy something, cost is not an issue. So call me a nit picker but its about the principle behind this. I did buy because I wanted it.
Thank you Have a blessed day
