On the 24th October 2020 my parents purchased a mattress from Beds4U (N1 city branch) and paid for delivery cash. The bed was delivered the next day. Two weeks later a fault was found in the mattress, either a loose spring that can break through the coverings at any time. This was reported immediately to Beds4U and the excuse was then that the factory is too busy to do collections and that we would need to call back in January. We were told they would first have to inspect the bed and see if they can fix the fault first instead of replacing with a new one. We followed up mid January about the collection of the mattress. Excuses were made that they need to find their feet and that we were to call back in February. Again we called last week and was told that we needed to pay for the collection of the defective mattress that was delivered to us in the first place and that deliveries only take place on Tuesdays - Thursdays. We then waited for the mattress to be collected today but no one has pitched since and yet another follow-up call was made. The new excuse was that we didn't confirm the collection and now the new excuse is that it will only be collected in 2 weeks time. We refuse to pay a collection fee for a delivery of a defective mattress and the fact that they keep dragging out the issue conveniently until the guarantee/warranty is over. This is utterly pathetic service - quick to accept our money but not willing to deliver on a service and why should the mattress first be fixed instead of replaced!!!!!! Beds4U - come get this reject item and either give us our cash back or replace with a NEW mattress!!!
