We bought a bed… a few months later the mattress was uncomfortable to sleep on. I put in a complaint. I went into the branch spoke to owner on numerous occasions. Life happens and time went I then contacted owner to say things have gotten increasingly worse and can no longer wait to be attended to. After getting no response eventually he says they have closed down. He would get someone to contact me. No one contacted me. Owner neglected to responded to anymore messages. I eventually got hold of another branch for assistance. They then send me to another branch closer to me. An assessor comes out and says the bed is in a terrible condition. They send me a quote to pay for damages because the bed is out of Guarantee. I told them that the bed was not out of guarantee when I initially complained. Everytime I explain to them why I’m not prepared to pay they say they will get back but never do. We have had to contact them everytime. It’s almost another month that has passed and they are not willing to accept that their level of service and communication is beyond terrible. This experience has left me with back issues and extra dr bills and such a bitter taste. I doubt very much I’d want to buy any bed from any of them if this is the experience with more than one branch. Says so much about how they value clients.

Good day, I am writing this review on behalf of my parents. They bought a bed 3 months later it became a problem like when you sit or lay on it, it feels broken. My parents called them and even went to the store. They came out to check the bed said they will collect it but it's been 2 months they never came. My parents are extremely high irate and unhappy.

Purchased a Du****dic Multi Comfort firm double bed set at the Salt River branch in January 2020. By October the 2021, the bed was bumpy and uneven. The springs were protruding and pushed into my side. After a night's 'rest' my side actually hurt. No matter which way the mattress was turned, the springs could easily be felt. Even just adding pressure your hand you could feel it. After numerous attempts (email and telephonically) to reach the store manager, Bijean, I was contacted and advised that he would send the mattress away to be serviced. When I received it back, he called to advise that they factory had added posture bars for extra support. I thanked him and we both said that we hope this is a long term solution, considering this issue crept up after a year and a bit. I could definitely feel the difference in the weight and firmness of the bed, with the posture bars included. This worked out for a few months, with monthly mattress turns. About 3/4 months ago, I started to feel the same protruding springs push into my side. There is no longer a comfortable position to sleep in on this mattress! I mailed Bijean in June and asked him to contact me urgently as this is not on. I cannot be going back to Beds 4 U once a year, for the same issue. As usual, my mails were left unresponded and I kept having to follow up with a phone call. When I eventually got him on the phone, I was advised that "the factory was closed, but they are opening next week (18 July)" and that he would call me with a date. In this conversation, I asked him if the bed purchased was a ****py bed, because then it would make sense for this issue to keep creeping up! He assured me that it was of a high quality and that he sells so many of it and that this is "unusual". It is almost one month later and sleeping has become dreadful and painful. In addition to this, I also advised him that now, when turning you hear the springs with every movement and this is unsettling because it sounds as though the bed is going to collapse. I would like a plausible, LONG-TERM solution to this repetitive issue please. I would also prefer to deal with someone more hands on than Bijean because I am constantly having to chase him for feedback.

On the 24th October 2020 my parents purchased a mattress from Beds4U (N1 city branch) and paid for delivery cash. The bed was delivered the next day. Two weeks later a fault was found in the mattress, either a loose spring that can break through the coverings at any time. This was reported immediately to Beds4U and the excuse was then that the factory is too busy to do collections and that we would need to call back in January. We were told they would first have to inspect the bed and see if they can fix the fault first instead of replacing with a new one. We followed up mid January about the collection of the mattress. Excuses were made that they need to find their feet and that we were to call back in February. Again we called last week and was told that we needed to pay for the collection of the defective mattress that was delivered to us in the first place and that deliveries only take place on Tuesdays - Thursdays. We then waited for the mattress to be collected today but no one has pitched since and yet another follow-up call was made. The new excuse was that we didn't confirm the collection and now the new excuse is that it will only be collected in 2 weeks time. We refuse to pay a collection fee for a delivery of a defective mattress and the fact that they keep dragging out the issue conveniently until the guarantee/warranty is over. This is utterly pathetic service - quick to accept our money but not willing to deliver on a service and why should the mattress first be fixed instead of replaced!!!!!! Beds4U - come get this reject item and either give us our cash back or replace with a NEW mattress!!!

I had purchased a pocket spring mattress at beds 4 u westgate mall mitchells plain Nov2017, we were told upon purchasing that its the most expensive mattress as it aligned to your body so when u move it does not affect the next person sleeping, but after a year we could feel the difference in the springs & pockets started sagging, I have delayed in informing them as I am very busy at work and after checking the receipt I saw that there is a 2 year warranty & 20 year guarantee on the mattress, I called them in November 2019 & the person I had spoken to informed me that their factory was closing for December break and that I will be contacted January I was asked to send through my receipt & in January it will be collected for re pocketing, which I had questioned as to why do they not replace the mattress and was told they do not replace but repocket, which does not make any consumer sense, if u not happy with the bed you purchased after how long is the re pocketing going to give a problem again. No one contacted me, At the end of Jan 2020 I have contacted the person & was told that they are very busy & short staffed & that the suppliers has moved premises & is giving them problems but he will speak to the store owner & discuss with him, we are now in February and only communication I received was that they trying to get the suppliers to come on board as they seem to be giving them a problem, I do not understand how this affects me as I paid what I was asked, I am very upset and have not had a peaceful night in a long time, I have informed the man that I have had surgery and need a comfortable bed the cost of this mattress was R5300 which I am not taking very lightly, if I had purchased at any other store I would have received quality not having to contact them using my airtime all the time to get a solution to a product that I have paid for, what do I do regarding this big dilemma I find myself in... I am not wiling to purchase another bed as I have spent a lot of money at this store to receive this type of treatment is just ridiculous. I have already informed the man that they should refund if this is the case but still no reply...

I Purchased a bed 2018 August in Saltriver and the bed have got a 2 year guarantee. Beds 4 u Staff are refusing to give me a new bed as that one is damaged. i need my a new bed bed or my money money back

Last year June i Lay buy an orthopedic light colored double bed(Mattress AND Base) from their Claremont Cape Town shop...i finished paying for it under agreed terms in November and it was delivered but what i noted was that the base and matress colour and quality dont match up..the matress was authentic as per shop display but the base was a cheap knock off...when i asked the delivery guy he just mumbled something about the warehouse and asked me to go speak with the sales lady .Because of work issues i managed to go a week later after which part of the base had collapsed while i was having *** with my girlfriend...on insection i noted that the base top layer was made of cardboard box held in place by simple staples.I went to the sore and spoke with the lady in store but she didn't give a clear answer to why first of all my base is a cheap knock off...and while she promised to sent a team to come inspect nothing of that sort materialized...I've just sent her an email months later to remind her i haven't forgotten and she actually is accusing me of being unavailable....my question remain unanswered as to why the base and mattress of different color and quality in comparison to what i saw,liked and purchased on display in store and why haven't they responded to my request to come inspect the collapsed top...mind you i payed for delivery so its their responsibility to come inspect fetch and make ant rectifications or is it am the dumb one.VERY ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED AND CHEAP RIP OFF OF SERVICE.I intend to contact their head office if they have.
