Beware of ****mers
We were looking for a Mobile Locksmith to come and cut three keys for our security lock on 16th of August, 2023 and while still busying filling in our details on the google site the office telephone rang and it was Sean from PG 4 locksmith confirming that he will accept the job and needed photos from the lock after which he confirmed he will be at the premises with in the hour, that was at 10h15 am...he kept on moving the time of arrival right thru the day and it was only at 17h30 that a person named Gerhard arrived and said the security lock needed to be replaced. He fiddled with the lock for a considerable time and then asked if there were any other locks that needed attention. I took him to the computer room and showed him a lock that was giving some trouble as well. He left the premises for a while and came back to complete the job giving us an invoice ( it had no physical address) that had to be paid immediately and with special clearance R1880.25. At that time it was already 21.00. He asked what time he could to be back in the morning to complete the job. We told him from 7 am. Thursday morning we found that the lock in the computer room was so well "fixed" that we could not get the door to the Computer room open.....which delayed the office work as we could not get in to the room. Our numerous whats/app messages to Sean and Gerhard was met with more promises on Thursday to come and complete the job...bear in mind that payment was already made on Wednesday evening. Later during the day Sean told us that Gerhard was in an accident on his way to us and Sean had to take Gerhard what he needed in hospital and that Sean himself would now come and attend to the lock that was not fixed properly as well as the lock of the Compter room. Friday Sean phoned to apologize for the delay and promised to be here later during the day. Well the day came and went and no show from either of them....so we realized we have been ****med. We made a final call to Sean yesterday, Monday, 21st August, 2023 who once again promised that he will be here later during the day...needless to say it is now Tuesday morning and we have not see Sean and also the invoice that we had to pay disappeared from the internet link that was given to us....we are now awaiting a reputable person to come and do the job for which we will have to pay again.....Beware all out there this is the biggest ****mers calling themselves " Professionals" They fall under a Group called "Bark" which seems to be and International Company so this complaint will be lodged with them as well. There is no rating that suits them other than ****mers and ********s.

"Handyman" not to be trusted
An individual, called Gerhard (cell number 076 998 6046) who is on the books of Uptasker professes to be a handyman as well as a locksmith. He contacted me on 24 May via Uptasker regarding repairing a washbasin mixer that was leaking. He arrived and worked on the mixer and I paid him R400 cash. The next day it was still leaking and he went to Builders to get a new part for the mixer. He stated the price as being R220. He came to install the part only on 1 June> I was then sent an invoice and the price was suddenly R250 and he charged another R300 "traveling fee" which he then waived after I asked him how he could charge a fee again if the job was not done satisfactorily. I then went to Builders Warehouse just to ascertain that the price for the part was actually R150! The mixer was still leaking after that and I ascertained that the new part was in actual fact too small and he just installed the old part again without an explanation. I contacted him again and he said he will return. After that, I sent hon various Whatsapps which he ignored. I also suspect him of other wrongdoings in my home since I was not here to keep an eye on him. I would strongluy advise people not to make use of his "services" since he is not to be trusted at all.
