An individual, called Gerhard (cell number 076 998 6046) who is on the books of Uptasker professes to be a handyman as well as a locksmith. He contacted me on 24 May via Uptasker regarding repairing a washbasin mixer that was leaking. He arrived and worked on the mixer and I paid him R400 cash. The next day it was still leaking and he went to Builders to get a new part for the mixer. He stated the price as being R220. He came to install the part only on 1 June> I was then sent an invoice and the price was suddenly R250 and he charged another R300 "traveling fee" which he then waived after I asked him how he could charge a fee again if the job was not done satisfactorily. I then went to Builders Warehouse just to ascertain that the price for the part was actually R150! The mixer was still leaking after that and I ascertained that the new part was in actual fact too small and he just installed the old part again without an explanation. I contacted him again and he said he will return. After that, I sent hon various Whatsapps which he ignored. I also suspect him of other wrongdoings in my home since I was not here to keep an eye on him. I would strongluy advise people not to make use of his "services" since he is not to be trusted at all. In September 2022 I made a booking through Book Direct for two bungalows in the Manyeleti Safari Camp in Limpopo for the period 4 - 6 January 2023. Book Direct confirmed my booking. However, upon arrival at Manyeleti the staff at Reception could find no booking on their system. They contacted their Head Office who also did not find proof of any reservation or payment made. The receptionist at Manyeleti said, "Oh that man!" and informed me that 90% of the time when a booking is made via Book Direct, the same happens with guests. When I informed Book Direct that I will be reporting them on HelloPeter, I received an e-mail from Mr Michael Swart stating that it was unfair of me to report his company on Hello Peter since there was "a glitch in the MTPA system". He stated that when he arrived at Reception he "immediately contacted the Reservations manager and it was resolved." I doubt this since I had to spend nearly an hour at Manyeleti's Reception where the very competent Receptionist assisted my party. Mr Swart stated that he will defend his company after my review was placed on Hello Peter. I returned his e-mail stating that I will withhold my review until I heard from him what the facts were - this e-mail was sent on 10 January. To date, I've had no word from him. Therefore I'm sending this review. It seems Book Direct cannot be trusted. However, I must commend the staff of Manyeleti for their professional assistance. Jakkie Groenwald I sent a return e-mail

I chose to make use of Numen Logistix when I moved house from Helderkruin to Greymont. The company's quote was quite acceptable and it included the statement that they are insured if any damages should occur and I will be compensated. While in transit a mirror was broken and the driver of the truck, "Zack", promised that the mirror will be replaced. after weeks of promises nothing happened. I then contacted "Brandon" at Numen Logistix and he promised he would look into the matter. Needless to say, nothing happened. After various e-mails and phone calls, the matter has not yet been resolved. Stay away from Numen Logistix.!
