Disappointing meal at Beira Alta Balito
Most disappointing from an upmarket restaurant that we used to frequent at least once a month. Lastnight we went for dinner and ordered their signature dish the half chicken and prawn combo that we used to share after sharing a salad starter. But they need to change the dish to pidgeon and shrimp. For R312 the chicken is gone so tiny and the prawns smaller than my pinky finger. Absolutely ridiculous and not worth the price. It used to be a nice big half chicken and a fair size prawns, but now they are really dropping the sizes and increasing the price. The chicken was still pink around the bones showing not fully cooked. The prawns, 3 were stuck to the shells and 1 was powdery. Flavour is still good but definately not value for money like it used to be.

Change in food portion
Size of chicken in sibiyawas kind of bigger in ballito beira alta and also chips portions that what I got to say maybe change the supplier I am a first time eater in the Sibiya restaurant

Beira Alta - Exceptional restaurant
From the time I entered the restaurant I was greeted and treated with dignity and importance. Service was exceptionally prompt. The quality of food is exceptional and has never failed to satisfy my hunger on repeated occasions. I would recommend the BA Prawn dish - absolutely divine.

From the time I entered the restaurant I was greeted and treated with dignity and importance. Service was exceptionally prompt. The quality of food is exceptional and has never failed to satisfy my hunger on repeated occasions. I would recommend the BA Prawn dish - absolutely divine.

Overall, it was a special visit!
We had such a lovely time here. Firstly, the place is beautiful. The ambience is cozy and the lighting just adds to the warmth of the place. I was very impressed with food,I'm all for flavour and all the dishes I had were flavourful from starter to dessert. The portions mostly satisfied all of our cravings and our server was spot on. Perfect spot for date night! Will definitely be going back. We will just not be getting dessert as it comes in ridiculously small quantities for what are steep prices.

Overall, it was a special visit!

Beira Alta through MR D is awful!
It is supposed to be a high-class restaurant, but the food is just okay. It has, at the least, been consistent over the years, so I will give them that. I never sit in as they keep it way too hot in the restaurant. I have noticed, though, that their delivery through Mr. D is nowhere near as good as what they give you when you visit their restaurants. I do not know why, but the quality drops drastically, and then it is no longer worth the price. They need to try hard and also get some packaging that does not have the hot foods fog up and get all soggy when delivered.

Excellent Service
Beira Alta is Outstanding. Special Mention to Naven (Manager) and Nqobile (Waitress) for making my birthday memorable. Service was excellent , food was absolutely delicious. Overall everything was beyond my expectations.
