I called to get a price on a B5 service for my C180 Nobody there could give me a price. I spoke first to the reception, then transferred me to the service advisor who said I have to bring the car in to get a quote. So I have to drive 100kms each way just to get a quote, yet the book gives you a list of what needs to be done for a B5 service. I told her that I got a quote from another dealer over the phone, why can't they just give me a quote according to what is required and anything above that we can discuss. She couldnt answer and transferred me to another african guy in the workshop. He as well couldnt give me a quote. Said around 15k. I got quote from another dealer with a B5list for R6500. I questioned him, then he transferred me to another white lady who is just as dumb. She as well could not tell me what is in a simple B5 service and said around 18k. Different from what the guy in the workshop gave.These people at NMI merc umhlanga are the worst people to deal with. They haven't got a clue of how the service intervals work and what needs to be done on an A or B service.
My landline hasn't been working for a few months. I tried to have the line repaired but Telkom says they did away with copper lines, They will give me a wireless device which I had to apply for. Then they tell me that it won't work in my area as there is no coverage. So now telkom decides to chenge their system and I lost my landline. Anyway, thats not the end of it. I called Telkom on the 29th of July 2024 and spoke to a Terri Anne Daniels. She agreed that she could see on the system that my line was out of use for a few months and told me I am due a refund. I did everything she required, sent in all the documents. Then she sent me an email at 12 32pm on the same date (29th July) with a case number and telling me that the refund will take 12 to 15 working days. On the 29th August (1 month later) I contacted her telling that I haven't been refunded as yet. She ignored me. On the 06th of September I contacted again. This time she rtesponded saying that Telkom credited my account. Why will they credit my account If I cancelled the account, I asked her??? That was NOT the agreement on her mail on the 29th July. Anyway, I re submitted the docs, as she requested again. I have not been paid to date and she is ignoring me again!!!
We spent 3 nights here, and really loved the place. The setting, surrounding, views etc were exceptional, however, due to the following reasons, I am forced to rate them 7.5/10. 1. Our chalet had the bathroom and toilet directly in front of the main entrance with a clear frosted glass panel next to it so a person can see quite clearly from outside if the light is on at night. 2. It would be nice if LS could perhaps convert half the upstairs balcony into an ensuite as nobody uses is, because the berg gets really cold and when you nice ans snug in the bed and need to pee at 1 am, you have to go downstairs in the freezing cold. 3. There's not much to do at night so most people spend time indoors watching a really small television in that big lounge. Would be really nice if LS could improve on the size of the television. 4. The 2 seater couch is really uncomfortable. For a self catering apartment there should be a proper lounge suite with high back seats especially for watching television. What you have is one of the cheapest most uncomfortable sleeper couches, not suitable for proper comfort. 5. I've stayed at many different chalets and this is the first time shampoo is not provided. I requested for one from the hotel housekeeping and they said they don,t provide anymore. I must go and buy fro the shop outside the premises. Apart from the above, it was a nice stay.
Really really disapointing compared to the VL that used to be in Grey Street. Firstly, they had only one waitron, we went with a group of 9 and the restaurant was quite busy on the past Sunday. Service was very slow. Secondly, the food was really bad for 98 Bucks. We all had the mutton bunnies and it was nowhere near what we get at other outlets and used to get when they were in town. The quarter was not more than 2 thick slices of bread slit halfway down into almost the 2 slices(God knows why they do that, that is not what a mutton bunny should be. The bunny had 4 large bones and a quarter of a small potato. So we basically paid R98 for 2 thick slices of bread with 4 bones. asked the waitron about this, what are we paying R98 for and her response was "The boss told us to only put 4 pieces of meat", but this was not meat. VL has a boneless bunny for R140, so what they do is trim off all the meat for that and the "dogbones" in the normal bunny...disgusting!!! Even Britannia does this. Yet at places like Happy chappy, Goundens, Govenders, Naidoos in jacobs etc you get value for money, you get a proper "Busting" mutton bunny loaded with meat falling off the top. If you want a good chow, please DON'T be a fool like us and pay R98 for 2 slices of bread and 4 bones.
Service excellence, had a problem with our bathroom, they immediately gave us new room and when we got t to new room they gave us a snack platter with seasonal fruits and biltong. Hospitality was great. Breakfast and dinner buffet price needs to be reviewed. Really steep for whats on the spread. A La Carte menu needs to be expanded on. Food was not to standard. In fact, the whole of hluhluwe you battle for food, especially if you are indian, go self catering. There is only Kfc, wimpy, steers and ANEW hotel.
Willard guaranties their batteries to last 25 months. Well from experience that is totally deceiving to the general public. I had a battery fitted on my Rav4 in 2022. In 2023 it failed in the most inconvenient of places. Had to get the vehicle jumpstarted and taken to the supplier (Strini Motors) where a new battery was fitted under warranty. But now, the warranty on the new battery is not 25 months but the balance of the original warranty which was less than a year. Guess what, just over a year, in march this year(2024) the "new" battery also failed. This time the total warranty period just exceeded 25 months so I had to pay again for another brand new "WILLARD" batteriey. 3 Brand new batteries in under 3 years. Only bought another willard because it was a Sunday and I was left stranded. Nobody else in Stanger had the size. Otherwise, I will never recommend willard to anybody. DO NOT BUY WILLARD!!!
Always go there on special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries etc. The food is really devine. The staff are 10/10 superfriendly and helpful. I been there many times and each time I had a better experience than the previous.. Go there for a meal or ****tail, you won't be disappointed
we had lunch here yesterday. I had the mutton bunny. was quite tasty but they add too much food colouring. Your fingers get stained yellow. My wife had the mince bunny. It was the special of the day. I guess because t5he salt bucket fell into the pot they had to sell it at a reduced price.
If ever you in the central berg, Champagne sports and the nest area, you just HAVE to try Rusty's pub and grill. Totally fantastic meals and outdoor activities.
Yesterday we had lunch at John Dory's at the junction mall in balito. Totally awesome experience. They running a special of 12 prawns and rice or chips for 99 bucks., My wife and siblings had that, I had the sushi platter. All our food was totally devine. I recommend that restaurant anytime.
