Victory Lounge in Umhlanga is nothing short of a disaster. I have been a customer for years, and every visit has been a nightmare. The owners two Indian women, are rude, dismissive, and completely incapable of running a business properly. They treat employees and customers with contempt, wasting everyone’s time and showing zero professionalism. Calling to place an order is a test of patience. I had to wait more than five minutes just to get a total price, while the poor employee struggled to get any cooperation. One owner literally said, “I’m busy”, as if customers’ needs are irrelevant. They clearly have no concept of basic respect. Their attitude shows they think only certain people matter, treating customers differently based on race, clothing, social status, or how much money they have. The food is a disgrace. After years of being open, the meat is jelly-like, greasy, and the dishes are always excessively oily. Everything is overpriced for the absolute garbage they serve. On top of that, every order takes over 40 minutes, if it ever arrives correctly. There is no improvement over the years, and the owners seem completely oblivious. The place feels cheap, unhygienic, and mismanaged. The owners spend more time gossiping and talking about their personal lives than focusing on their business or treating customers decently. Their arrogance, incompetence, and blatant favouritism make Victory Lounge an insult to anyone who walks through the door. I will NEVER return to this disgusting excuse for a restaurant. I strongly urge the owners to learn customer service, equality, and humility, because right now, they are a nightmare to deal with, and their food is a disgrace.

I have been a customer of Victory Lounge Umhlanga for the past five years. Upon every single visit I have received terrible service from what appears to be the owners- two Indian ladies. Their attitude is disgusting to say the least, with a strong dismissive tone. They have no regard for their customer. Their food is grossly overpriced and presents with sub-par quality. Today my order was incorrect. I will certainly NEVER be returning to this restaurant. I can only hope that the owners study customer service and adopt some humility.

**** service from the staff and owner. My wife ordered a bunny chow and the food was piping hot and bread was ice cold. When confronted they blame it on Sasko Sam and threatened us with legal action. Pathetic food and service. She wants legal action against us for her Pathetic food. Victory Lounge Umhlanga food is horrible

I bought a Mutton Biryani on the 26th at 1pm , and when I opened the container at 5pm to eat it for dinner it had gone off . The weather was not even hot on the day. Terrible experience. I tried to call the resturant and no answer on their landline. I did want a refund because this is unacceptable to pay R115 for a meal and it is inedible.

Hi, I would like to say that the service at Victory Lounge, Umhlanga, Park Square is absolutely terrible. They are absolutely ****** Indians. If you are black, you don’t matter at all. Lucky if you’re Indian or maybe white. They treat their black customers, staff and even the black(foreigners) delivery guys from Mr D/Uber Eats with no respect at all. Their food is nice but sadly they are ****** Indians. This is sickening customer service from the Indian ladies at Victory lounge, Park Square.

Had a complaint about poor service at Victory Lounge at the Square in Umhlanga.Had a call from the restaurant and was extremely defensive about me complaining on social media before speaking to management.I dont believe i have an obligation to do so.The lady in summary informed me that I am not forced the dine there and should no dine at Victory Lounge. My response is that I will never again and will never recommend any of my many friends and colleagues to do so.

Really really disapointing compared to the VL that used to be in Grey Street. Firstly, they had only one waitron, we went with a group of 9 and the restaurant was quite busy on the past Sunday. Service was very slow. Secondly, the food was really bad for 98 Bucks. We all had the mutton bunnies and it was nowhere near what we get at other outlets and used to get when they were in town. The quarter was not more than 2 thick slices of bread slit halfway down into almost the 2 slices(God knows why they do that, that is not what a mutton bunny should be. The bunny had 4 large bones and a quarter of a small potato. So we basically paid R98 for 2 thick slices of bread with 4 bones. asked the waitron about this, what are we paying R98 for and her response was "The boss told us to only put 4 pieces of meat", but this was not meat. VL has a boneless bunny for R140, so what they do is trim off all the meat for that and the "dogbones" in the normal bunny...disgusting!!! Even Britannia does this. Yet at places like Happy chappy, Goundens, Govenders, Naidoos in jacobs etc you get value for money, you get a proper "Busting" mutton bunny loaded with meat falling off the top. If you want a good chow, please DON'T be a fool like us and pay R98 for 2 slices of bread and 4 bones.
