What a waste of time, money, and dignity buying from Bellville Furniture. The showroom experience seemed promising, but everything fell apart after I paid the deposit—and got even worse once the full balance was paid prior to delivery. I received only part of my order. The couch arrived with the wrong feet, and the wingback chair simply wasn’t delivered, with no prior communication. I was told it would arrive in two days; after four days, I had to phone, only to hear there was a “fabric delay.” Ten days later, still no chair.
When I asked for the manager’s details, the staff hid behind the POPI Act. When I requested a refund, they hid behind their purchase policy. At the showroom, I was repeatedly told the manager was not on site—until I insisted, and suddenly she appeared. What followed was a string of excuses, ending in a rude, reluctant agreement to refund me. Even then, ten days passed with no payment. Only after yet another visit did they finally process an instant refund.
