If there was a minus star rating I would have selected -10000000. We went to the store in Stonewood Business Park, Unit 2, Pinehurst, 3 Tanzanite Cres, Bonnie Brae, 7550. We received very good service from Mario to select our custom made couch, but that was where the service stopped. We received our quote for the custom made couch and paid our deposit to get the ball rolling on the process. We then waited for a long time before we were contacted to pay the outstanding balance for them to be able to finish the job. After another long waiting period we had to contact them just to find out that there was a problem with the material that we chose and then was offered to wait for replacement material or to select different material. Finally when the couch was finished it was arranged that we meet them at home at 10am for delivery, at 12pm they still did not arrive. Finally at 6pm that day the couch was delivered and upon checking it was found that the stitching was not up to standard, the seams were all *****ed and the there were stains on both arm rests. After another long wait they came to fetch the couch for repairs a day before the factory closed for the holiday season, this was not communicated with us and we ended up having to borrow a couch from a friend to be able to have something to sit on. This morning when I once again had to phone the store to find out how long we still have to wait, I was informed that the factory is still closed. When I then asked to speak with the manager, I was told that he is on holiday abroad. I have now reached the end of my tether with Bellville Furniture. I will not be referring anyone to buy from them at all. We made the biggest mistake by not doing our homework regarding a background check before we decided to support this company. We are not the first customer this has happened to if you go read the google reviews. Please don't make the same mistake as we did.

WORST place to order from! I ordered a custom made couch by Bellville Furniture the 5th of November, paid the full price and not only the 50% deposit; which was just over R17 000. The lady (Lehandra) at Bellville Furniture told me the lead time was 4-6 weeks. They kept giving me an ETA that change every day. I was told by Lehandra who works at Bellville Furniture that they were going to deliver my couch on Friday, 12 December as my couch came out of production earlier that week. I took off work to be at home seeing as my husband and I work full day jobs. They never delivered on Monday. I phoned Lehandra back and I was told (on the Pinkfoot whatsapp number) that they will deliver my couch that following Monday, the 15th of December, yet again I took off work to be at home…. Yet AGAIN no couch was delivered. As I called back Monday making a very big scene, someone from their warehouse phoned me on that Monday to arrange delivery for 09:30 Wednesday morning the 17th of December. As I am sitting at home and time is going past, I called the warehouse to find out where they are as I have plans and need to leave the house. To my surprise the warehouse tells me that my couch is still not out of production!! Who is lying now? As Lehandra told me that my couch has been out of production early last week and its been more than a week now and all of a sudden its still in production. This has become fighting back and forth with Bellville Furniture. This was my first time buying furniture by them and will definitely be my last. Anytime I also ask to speak to a manager at the Bellville Furniture branch or the manager at the warehouse (Parow) the manager also seems to be “out” and not present there. Really??? I support DECOFURN all the way as I never had any problems with them. I have bought over 12 items at Decofurn and their service and delivery never seems to disappoint. To all reviewers reading this, please do not support Bellville Furniture as you will be disappointed with any only orders or orders that needs to be made.

The showroom experience seemed promising, but everything fell apart after I paid the deposit—and got even worse once the full balance was paid prior to delivery. I received only part of my order. The couch arrived with the wrong feet, and the wingback chair simply wasn’t delivered, with no prior communication. I was told it would arrive in two days; after four days, I had to phone, only to hear there was a “fabric delay.” Ten days later, still no chair. When I asked for the manager’s details, the staff hid behind the POPI Act. When I requested a refund, they hid behind their purchase policy. At the showroom, I was repeatedly told the manager was not on site—until I insisted, and suddenly she appeared. What followed was a string of excuses, ending in a rude, reluctant agreement to refund me. Even then, ten days passed with no payment. Only after yet another visit did they finally process an instant refund. NEVER buy from Bellville Furniture.

⭐ 1/5 — If I could give zero, I would. Absolutely disgusting service. Wow. Where do I even begin? I can clearly see I’m not the only one — the reviews are full of stories exactly like mine, and honestly, I wish I had believed them. I bought a couch a month and a half ago, and you can already tell where this disaster is headed. Every single week, I requested an ETA. Every single week, the female employee confidently told me, “next week.” Rinse and repeat. Luckily my parents are home during the day, otherwise I would’ve been burning my leave week after week waiting for a couch that apparently existed only in their imagination. Eventually I had enough and phoned to speak to the owner because I was done wasting time on the frontline staff. The male employee laughed — literally laughed — and then tried to hide behind the POPI Act as an excuse not to provide contact details. When I asked him to please get the owner to contact me, he chuckled again and said he’d “try.” Professionalism? Nowhere to be found. At this point, my father had to step in because apparently a young woman spending her hard-earned savings isn’t taken seriously here. Suddenly the fabric “wasn’t available,” then “something else was delayed,” then another excuse, and another. Only when he pushed did the same male employee finally check properly — and surprise! — the couch was actually waiting for delivery the whole time. As if the incompetence wasn’t enough, the female employee then snatched the phone mid-conversation and started arguing with my father. He literally had to raise his voice to remind your staff about basic manners when speaking to customers. And the final cherry on top? The couch arrived WITHOUT scotch-guarding. The very feature I specifically selected, from the fabrics I was told would definitely be scotch-guarded. After all that waiting and all that disrespect, you still delivered the wrong product. This business thrives on empty promises, zero accountability, and a shocking level of disrespect toward customers. I would never recommend them to anyone — not even as a joke.

The MD Marlie Rossouw and salesperson Mario Mitchell is running a **** and a SHAM of a business. Having funded and prepaid our furniture order they managed to get it wrong. The couch looked cheaply made and delivered with the incorrect feet. We prepaid for a wingback chair that was never delivered. They "forgot" to 'manufacture' the chair. A refund was requested and never processed by Marlie, so they owe me money. Trying to contact management is only met with an abrasive WhatsApp message citing the POPIA Act and a lengthy T&Cs message "I cannot share contact details because...". Marlie treated my wife like a common ******** when trying to resolve the matter which resulted in a refund request. Mario **** about management not being on the premises when Marlie was actually hiding out in her office. We met all the terms and conditions of the sale, i.e. processed the deposits and made full payment when we had to start requesting delivery dates. Since mid October 2025 we are still waiting on our money for the wingback chair. Telephone calls are now met with silence.

Horrible communication & upright ignoring any follow up communication. Bellville furniture have upholstered one of our cushions with the WRONG leather. Since then, its been 6 weeks where Bellville Furniture promised to correct this mistake! 6 weeks where they have continuously promised certain leather arrival dates / completion dates! Do not upholster anything at this business! Even this complaint will fall upon deaf ears!

I placed and paid for an order on 11 July for two bedside tables, a dresser, and to have my headboard reupholstered. The fabric for the headboard was confirmed by 14 July. From there, the experience went downhill fast. On 12 August, I received a WhatsApp asking me to rate their service. How could I rate anything when I had received NOTHING? When I questioned them, they promised delivery that week. That never happened. Week after week, it was one excuse after another – always “it’s in quality check” or “the production manager will call you” (he never did). Eventually, on 20 August, they delivered the bedside tables and dresser, BUT NO HEADBOARD. To make matters worse, the next day when we unwrapped the furniture, we discovered the left dresser drawer is faulty and gets stuck. I reported it immediately and was told they’d look at it when delivering the headboard. Does the driver even do quality checks? Can he fix it? Then came the endless lies about the headboard: They claimed the fabric was ready on 16 August. Then they said it’s in quality check again. Promised delivery on Friday, I asked for Saturday, and they agreed. Tuesday comes – still nothing. Now the excuse is “the fabric has a flaw.” I even sent them photos showing flaws in the wood on the dresser – NO RESPONSE. This has been an absolute nightmare of broken promises, poor communication, zero accountability, and endless delays. They overpromise, underdeliver, and keep lying to the customer. Would I recommend them? Absolutely NOT. Stay far away if you value your time, money, and sanity.
