berkowits knee brace is not good!

I was submitted to hospital after damaging my meniscus (knee) and after X-rays I was told to have a knee brace. I was give one from the hospital and had to sign for receiving the brace. A week later I received a bill/account for R2045.00 and was told that medical aid does not pay anything. I found that the knee brace they gave me keep slipping down and did sit properly on my knee, I then went went to Dis-Chem and got a very similar brace for R347 and it works much better that the one giving at the hospital. When I informed berkowits (the company that gave the brace) that there brace was 6 times the price of Dis-Chems brace, I was told that I signed and acknowledged to be responsible for the payment. However, I was in pain and could not focus on what I signed for. I am now focused to pay the full amount or else I get handed over. Be very careful when get something for the berkowits company at any hospital.
