The orthotist had me sign for post-op Wadek shoes in the hospital and when I asked how much they cost, he said around R800 each. I am now told that the paper I signed had the price on it. Why did the orthotist not point that out to me when I asked him for the price? Now I get the invoice: R1290 per shoe x 2 = R2590!! For plastic shoes that are hardly even used post-op, since doctor's orders are to stay in bed with feet raised.
