Absolutely terrible experience – and I just bought a brand new Amarok! As soon as the sale was done, the dealership clearly stopped caring. Would give a zero rating if possible. Late delivery on the day I was supposed to receive my vehicle. Forgot to give me the delivery gift (after I had to remind them). Couldn’t even do a proper handover presentation of my brand new vehicle – rushed and careless. I paid for full service and delivery (R9,200) but got half a tank of diesel. Only to raise my concern a week later, for them to realise the apparent mistake. They fitted new tyres and rims, only to give me a different size spare wheel – completely unacceptable. When I took this up with the manager and asked what exactly the “service and delivery” fee was for, he couldn’t even explain it. Later, he admitted they “took from the service and delivery fee” because they apparently “made a loss” on the deal but undertook, at the time of negotiating, that all of the extras will be at cost. That is not only disingenuous but borders on misrepresentation. I paid for a service I did not receive, and their excuse is that they needed to make up their margin? Absolutely unacceptable. If this is how they treat someone buying a brand new vehicle, I can’t imagine what their aftersales service is like. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy paying for things you don’t get.

Unacceptable Delay & Expired License Disc – VW Silver Oaks Let Me Down I purchased a vehicle through VW Silver Oaks and while the initial delivery went smoothly, the service since then has been extremely disappointing. It’s been well over a week since I took delivery, and my vehicle registration is still not sorted. To make matters worse, the license disc on the vehicle is expired, which legally shouldn’t even be the case for a car being delivered to a customer. This puts me at risk if I’m stopped on the road, and the dealership doesn’t seem to care. I’ve tried contacting the sales lady multiple times, but all I get is avoidance and empty promises. It honestly feels like she’s playing games instead of helping to resolve the issue. This level of service is completely unacceptable — once the sale is made, the dealership seems to vanish. I expected much better from a VW-branded dealership.

Can you guys take me serious please. I called in trying to book for service, they said the service person is busy on a call and that I should provide my contact details so they can call me back. It’s been a week now and no one has called me back. I called in again today and still I’m being told stories about the service person being busy.

I bought a car 2 weeks back,the salesman told me when i was buying that they gonna need me to top up the money with 5000 for admin fee...i told him its ohk they can add that 5000 on the invoice. Only to realise later that they actually charged me 11.200 instead of the 5000. I communicated with the salesman and he was just telling me stories which didn't make sense to me.He then told the other guy (salesman's man also i guess) to call me and convince me which till now i don't really understand their story,the other guy told me that i must bring the car back but ill be charged penalties,which dnt really make sense to me.I want my money back please Thapelo and bidvest silver oaks,I don't have a problem i can bring the car back but i want every single cent i paid.its not my fault that you were dishonest and i cant pay for your dishonesty.

The process was very easy. The salesman "Lazarus Tlou" was very friendly and he explained everything properly since it was first time buying a car. He even arranged delivery from Gauteng to the Western Cape. I very happy with services.
