Dear Volkswagen Management, I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration regarding a recent service experience. Ten days ago, I brought my vehicle in for a scheduled service. My intention was to proceed with a minor service, as that was what my current budget allowed. However, the service advisor strongly insisted that I proceed with a major service instead. Trusting the advisor’s professional guidance, I agreed to the major service, even though it placed significant strain on my monthly finances. It has therefore come as a considerable shock to receive an SMS informing me of a 48-hour zero labor charge promotion. Upon reviewing my invoice, I see that I paid R3650.40 in labor costs — an amount that I could have saved had I simply waited a few more days. In the current economic climate, where many of us are managing tight budgets, this amount is substantial. Had I been made aware of the upcoming promotion, I would certainly have delayed the service. It is extremely upsetting to realize that a short wait could have resulted in such significant savings. I feel let down by the lack of transparency and consideration in this matter. I respectfully request that management review my case and advise whether any form of reimbur*****t or goodwill adjustment can be considered. I look forward to your response and trust that this matter will be handled with fairness and understanding. Kind regards,

I’m truly frustrated with the service and experience received from Parow VW mccarthy. I purchased a demo car from them, a 2024 T-cross. 2-3months down the line, car started to smell like something is burning. I took the car back to them and told them I suspect a clutch damage, they checked the car and told me everything was perfect. To find few days later, nothing was perfect at all. I then booked another check up with them, they then said a plastic was burnt underneath which was causing the smell. Last month, May month the car started to slow down when driving. Sat afternoon i noticed the indicator for gear change was not responding accordingly. Today, in the morning i called in at the branch to explain the issue, that the gear was not responding.they said they’ll only be available on the 18th June for book ins. About 40min later after the call, car stopped in the middle of the road, gear was totally not moving. Causing hazard to me and other drivers. I called insurance and car has been towed to one of VW dealership closest to me and they say they can only attend my vehicle on Wednesday the 4th June.Issue now I am stuck with no car, I do not know how I’ll move during this 3 days between 3 different schools for my kids and myself to go to work. I need a curtesy car as this issue has been reported 2 times and VW mccarthy was ******** about it. How am I supposed to function without a car when they refuse to accommodate me? I’m in disbelief of this service and all emotions involved at the moment

Terrible experience. Do not buy a car with them. To be fair do not buy any VW car. They were suppose to do a basic diagnostic check to see if my car was fine after being damaged when ****** (VW are the most ****** car in the country, as I subsequently found out and thus you will pay massive premiums) but all they do is plug a pc in and check. No actual physical check. None of the electronics on the steering work. Then when you query it with them they are rude and speak over you, they don’t let you speak at all, and they tell you it’s not their problem. Their service is shocking. They will treat you like a piece of garbage. You call and they drop often. And times when you do get through you get put through to obnoxious representatives (ones you didn’t ask for) who blame you. I am still waiting for them to call back. It shouldn’t matter to me whether it is an insurance claim issue or a warranty issue. Fact of the matter is this is a brand new car and it is not how it was before damaged. We had to do the diagnostic check before taking it to repairs. You should have noticed the issue. But nope, they cut corners as much as possible to do a as little as possible. Their staff are beyond rude and unhelpful. VW are the most ****** car in this country and your car will be ******, broken into or whatever, and parts ******. You will pay massive premiums because of this, and when your car is ******, or broken into (it will) you will wait for weeks for parts and at the end of the day receive a subpar car back.
