I had recently bought a brand new VW Polo Tip 2025 model. Within 6 months, there is a fault on the car. I contacted VW assist and the car was sent to the VW service centre in Uhmlanga on the 15/09/2025 (the same day that my debit goes off for monthly repayments), and to this day, the service centre has been messing around with me. Note that I am an educator and this a busy time with exams as well as extra classes for matric learners. There is no urgency in communication from the service manager at the centre. The car stood stationary at the workshop for 2 whole weeks without any communication from the service centre. I have been calling often, being told that they will get back to me and they never do until I contact them again. The service centre also did not have the correct tools to diagnose the fault however the service manager **** to me that diagnostics were done, which I only found out a few days later that it hasn't been done. Also note, it apparently took the centre two days to diagnose the fault. Thereafter, I was told that the part needed to be sourced which was to be done last Friday, 26/09/2025, upon calling today, I am told that the part will only arrive within 2-3 days after they confirm the order today (29/09/2025), and that they are unsure of how long it will take after that to repair the car. This service centre has continuously ignored calls, have not communicated with me as the client unless I call in, and has a poor turnaround time. I am deeply disappointed and concerned with their service. They do not offer any courtesy car or assist in clients needs. I find this very disturbing as a VW client as I am paying an installment on a brand new car that isn't being utilised.
