ABSA Bidvest Benefits **** I’m actually extremely disappointed with ABSA and their Bidvest Services. Recently, on the 5th of January I had taken my card to the Bidvest lounge and I was told that I would be able to enter and use my free benefits. Only to be sent an sms that they are charging R270 for the service ,claiming I used it outside of the benefit services. Even though the lounge states that you need to come 2 hours before the flight and I did. Further more,the Bidvest lounge assistants NEVER indicated that I would be charged R270 to sit in the lounge

Subject: Poor Service at Bidvest Slow Lounge Dear Hello Peter, I’d like to formally complain about the service at the Bidvest Slow Lounge as a Nedbank Private client in both Durban 17 March 2025 and Cape Town airports 20 January 2025. The staff treated me as if they were doing me a favour, and when I lost my card and used a temporary one, they failed to mention that I could use my credit card instead to tap for access. STAY AWAY from this Lounge‼️ I am currently at this Lounge at OR TAMBO - it is THE worst experience at a lounge ever. They only cater VEGETARIAN, and that which they offer (extremely limited) is ice cold, bone dry, tomatoes and lettuce from about a week ago, coffee from machine is cold‼️ ... and for all this we had to pay for early check-in... this amounts to daylight robbery.

The food quality and selection is diabolical and cold. Coffee machine does not froth. The coffee is cold. The tables are dirty and have previous users stain marks on them. When I talk to bidvest, they suggest I should talk to the manager 🙈🙈🙈🙈. I’m the manager who sets the standards. All that will happen is the dear staff will get a lashing. But no coaching. Bottom line. Go to the slow lounge or somewhere else. Avoid Bidvest.

King Shaka airport. I notice the closing times have not been updated since the curfew times changed, and it closed at 20h15. Curfew is from midnight to 04h00. Our flight is has been delayed to 22h15. (Kulula MN504) Especially during such trying times, it would be very good if we can utilize the Lounge. Instead we were summarily thrown out. I am traveling alone with my two children. We had a very bad experience. The whole reason why I got a Diners Club card was so that I can use the Bidvest Lounge.

I went onto their website and bought a voucher to go to the lounge. It says 2 hour access so bought it in advance. Arrived at lounge for my 2 hour access only to be told they work out the time on the plane leaving not boarding. So why bother paying R249 for one and a half hours. I said look at your website and they just shrugged and said pay more. They allow all people with credit cards to access but the actual idiots like me who bought a voucher directly with them means nothing. No point in using this service. Actual evidence provided of time at lounge, boarding pass and picture of staff included in comments.

I went on my normal routine today like me and my wife have done so many times before when we fly. I got to the Bidvest premier lounge at OR Thambo to relax and have a drink. Just like we always do. I am with absa private bank and my wife with FNB Private bank. My wife has used her same exact card to get in to the premier lounge on countless occasions. When we got to the counter a very rude ms. ANATHI started laughing at my wife in front of everybody and told her that there is no way she can get into the lounge woth her private bank card from fnb. When me and my wife told her that we have done it so many times before she told my wife that she is lying and that there is no way she has been at this lounge before. I have never been so humiliated by someone before. She laughed at my wife and told her that maybe she imagined herself being at the premier lounge while she was actualy at the slow lounge. This is unacceptable from the bidvest staff. I had to pay extra on my card for my wife to come in. Her other colleague THEPO also joined in laughing and said there is no way my wife has been to this lounge before. We must have been here more than 20 times before. This is shocking.

Most pathetic ,ever seen ,and so are all the guests arriving ,with comments like it just gets worse. Broken toilets ,only fruit -4 apples ,only margarine -no butter ,variety is pathetic ,scramble eggs -rock hard -no water bottles only . Seats filthy at 7h00 in the morning What an utter disappointment ,is this what we can expect from bidvest in the future, - shocking As a regular traveller it is slowly getting worse and more disappointing every time . What is it worth ,of still having this option if this is what you get
