Biggles Removals South Africa
Based on recent customer reviews, Biggles Removals South Africa receives strong praise for friendly, efficient moving teams and excellent communication, with Vaneshree frequently highlighted for outstanding support. Long-distance moves between major cities are handled with care, and belongings generally arrive safely. However, negative experiences raise serious concerns, including significant delays, undersized trucks, use of subcontracted teams with reported misconduct, and poor follow-through on damage claims. When issues arise, complaint resolution appears inconsistent, with some customers receiving partial refunds while others report being ignored entirely.

Wow, what an amazing company to work with. I didn't wait for a quote too long, responses were quick and helpful, and I was kept updated throughout the whole move. The moving team is also incredibly friendly and I didn't once feel like my items were unsafe. Highly recommended!

I used Biggles to move from JHB to CPT in 2021 and I'm now moving from CPT to PE, so I decided to go with them again because the process was smooth. So I reached out to Biggles on Monday via their website and also emailing sales directly. Vaneshree contacted me first and gave me a quote for R8000. I checked Eezi Move to see if they had a better priced quote for me and sure enough, they quoted me R6950. The same afternoon I get an email from Raine (also from Biggles) and she quotes me R5000. I then emailed Vaneshree that I had two better offers but did not mention that one was from Biggles as well. She then responded saying they could match the R6900. So obviously I continued the conversation with Raine instead, but she managed one email a day. I called yesterday to speed things up, but Vaneshree picked up and said Raine was "on a call". So finally today I got the quote and the pickup is scheduled for tomorrow (22/01/2026), so I accept the quote, pay the invoice in full (not 50% deposit) and await confirmation of my booking. Still no confirmation. I then call the number for Raine again and once again, Vaneshree answers. And once again, Raine is "on a call". Both times I've asked to be called back. Neither time was I called back. So I decided to make a follow up call and now I go straight to voice-mail🙂 I have called 5 times from my own number and even called 3 times from the alternative number I gave them for the quote. All voice mail. VERY UNHAPPY! I am awaiting feedback.

We booked Biggles Removals for a household move on 11 December 2025. The move was carried out by a team subcontracted to Cape Removals under the Biggles booking. The team was employed to pack and move our belongings, which required a high level of trust. During the move, two adults noticed that some of the movers smelled strongly of alcohol. At the end of the day, we discovered that a sealed bottle of whisky, which was full prior to the move, was almost empty. We also discovered that aftershave and bread knives were missing following the move. There were three adults and one child present in the house at the time. The alcohol and missing items were not taken or consumed by anyone in the household. The issue is not the cost of the items. The concern is having a removals team in our private home who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol while on duty, while also packing our personal belongings. This constitutes a serious breach of trust, as well as significant safety and insurance concerns, particularly given that vehicles were being operated that same day. Management initially apologised and advised that the matter would be investigated. We subsequently requested that Biggles Removals take formal action in line with their legal and safety obligations, including a proper internal investigation. We specifically requested that polygraph (lie detector) testing be considered as part of that investigation. We were advised that such testing would only be pursued at our cost, and since raising these concerns, our communications have gone unanswered and the matter has effectively been ignored. We offered to provide affidavits confirming what was observed, but this was not taken up. We are extremely disappointed, not only by the incident itself, but by how it has been handled thereafter. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Biggles Removals and believe it is important that other consumers are aware that subcontracted teams may be used and how serious complaints are addressed.

This has been by far the worst service I have ever received Scheduled a move for 1 pm on the 27th Nov, they only arrived at 20:00 pm. The receptionist was so rude to the point of not picking up my calls anymore They arrived with a truck that was small not all the things fit in there All in all the most horrible things experience

Mr Biggles handled a collection in Cape Town and delivery to Nelspruit for us. Communication was excellent, price was reasonable and everything arrived as promised, in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend their.

The vehicle I was initially allocated was too small to efficiently complete the move. Despite this, the move was completed (even if it took a long time), and movers were very careful with the contents. Biggles did respond when I raised this, and have provided a partial refund, which is appreciated, and I think shows that this is not the norm for them. I have had two moves with them previously which were great

I paid 9 thousand Rand, and three guys with a bakkie showed up. This was to move 2 fridges, 4 couches, 2 tables, 3 desks, a bookshelf, 60 boxes, 2 cabinets, a dishwasher, a washing machine just to list some of the major items. It took 4 trips, and from 9am to 4pm to do the move, with me carrying boxes, and making several trips in my car. Initially when I complained, they apologized, saying they would investigate. It has been a week since I have heard from them, despite following up. The best I can say is that the move was completed, and the three guys in the bakkie were very careful with the contents.
