My bike sat at Biker Warehouse for 2 weeks for a service. During that period I had to pay for new bar ends due to the loss of mine and when the bike was returned the engine warning light was on. This was not the case when I handed the bike in. On returning the bike I was told that they did not have the diagnostic tool for my bike and could not assist any further. I was asked to take my bike back to a manufacturers dealership. It goes with saying that I will not be using their service department in future.

I am based in Durban, and needed an original OEM Kawasaki part for my Ninja 500 motorbike. Perry Bikes in Durban told me 2-3 weeks, but Bikers Warehouse Malibongwe in JHB (Franko and Devon) promised me 2-3 working days - I only ordered and paid late on Monday afternoon and the spare arrived and was shipped to me yesterday (Thursday) morning and was in my hands by 10am today (same week Friday). Soooooo happy with the great service, I won't be going anywhere else. And it was only R 150 to courier overnight with the courier guy so worth it totally.

Try to understand why when they order it takes 3 days to deliver parts from KMSA distribution that's in sandton not far at all. This company delivers bike and they tell me they don't collect from a distribution company very strange in deed so this company don't lift a finger to collect parts at all. Another thing I spoke to the distributor and they explain that they can give me the parts if the dealer gets paid and they inform the distributor that the client is collecting the parts that is no problem. So me client must wait 1 week for his parts and his bike to be fixed will take longer as parts take long.

Had to get my Honda a new shifter. Went through them and they had to order it from Japan. 2 months later I get the part and bike back from them. 3 weeks later that same part strips again. Took it back to them and they still charged me 1.5k just to "adjust the lever". 7k later and worst decision was taking my bike to these people. Go somewhere else like Bikeshop Rivonia or anywhere else.

I’ve bought several items from them over the years, and always received decent, friendly service. But last week, I went in to buy a new visor for my helmet. They only had tinted and mirror visors, not the clear one I was looking for. The sales assistant took my details and told me they would order one from the manufacturers in Cape Town, and it would be here by this week Tuesday, along with the regular shipment from Cape Town. No additional cost, as it would be part of a larger shipment. He also said that someone would contact me to confirm when it arrives. Nobody contacted me on Tuesday, or Wednesday. Today I was in the area, so I popped in to collect the new visor. I was told that no shipment had come in from Cape Town, and that my new visor had not been ordered. Despite the assurances given to me last week. To make matters worse, today’s sales assistant tried to blame me for Bikers Warehouse’s own lack of processes. He kept asking me the name of last week’s sales assistant, and had I received a paper order in my hand. I am not in charge of their systems and processes. When a sales assistant takes my details and assures me the item will be there in a week, I am inclined to believe them. Today’s sales assistant had also been involved in last week’s discussions. When I told him he had been there, with my helmet in his hand, and asked him to tell me the name of the colleague standing next to him who had told me the visor would be ordered, he kept trying to turn it around and imply that I should have taken his colleague’s name. I told today’s sales assistant that I was disappointed that I had been **** to last week, and that I had wasted a week waiting for an order that had never been placed, and I asked if Bikers Warehouse was prepared to make up for it by maybe giving me a discount on the new visor. Instead, today’s sales assistant told me he could order me a new visor if I paid extra costs for courier fees. I went Bike Kings’ new premises, just up the road, and received the kind of helpful friendly service I used to receive from Bikers Warehouse. Anyone still dealing with Bikers Warehouse – please make sure you take names, order numbers and all other relevant details when dealing with their staff. Or – take a short ride up the road to the new shop above Bikeshop Rivonia.
